I stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic, peaceful break. I was joined by another couple for one night and the lodge is so spacious I hardly noticed they were there!
The lodge is beautifully maintained and Pam, the owner is attentive and wants to do as much as she can to ensure you have a wonderful stay. She provided superb, clear instructions as soon as I booked, emailed them again before I stayed and was also in contact once I had checked-in to make sure all was good. I cannot thank her enough for looking after me so well.
The lodge is spacious, bright, warm and lovingly furnished. There is a fridge, a separate freezer, modern hob and oven and the crockery, plates, pots, pans etc are in new condition. I had cooked breakfasts every day, cooked dinner in the evenings and the extraction system worked so well there were no lingering odors.
The internet is excellent as Pam has installed a booster.
The hot tub was magnificent and also very clean. I used it every day and as I was leaving the cleaning service had already been and attended to it.
There is ample parking for two cars.
I will definitely stay again.
Both the lodge and location were perfect! The lodge is in a quiet, secluded spot with a lovely hot tub for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. Pam and her family have clearly thought of everything to make this a great experience for guests. The lodge is tastefully decorated with lovely, matching accessories. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space, beds are soft and comfortable with good quality bedding. Although the shower cubicle is on the small side the shower is good and there's a really nice, modern bath which is a good size. The whole place is so well equipped, in particular the kitchen. Everything you could possibly need is provided, all very clean and good quality.
The setting makes it feel like you're a million miles away, but the holiday park is between Windermere & Ambleside (we enjoyed walking to both, but they are both just a couple of minutes drive away) so there are loads of lovely little shops, some quaint and some with necessities. There's lots of bars/restaurants also within easy reach. If you fancy venturing a little further afield Grasmere is a short drive away, along with several other options.
Thanks so much to Pam and family for a wonderful stay in your beautiful lodge, we will certainly recommend it to our friends and family.
I booked this lodge for a weekend in September and couldn't have been happier!
The lodge was set just outside of the busy streets of Bowness and Windermere and was quiet and wooded and we were located away from other lodges in a quiet spot with no direct neighbours.
The lodge was immaculate and warm, cosy and well equipped for a group.
The hot tub was so warm and clean and was being cleaned as we were checking out.
We absolutely loved it there and would go again in a heartbeat.
The host Pam was very helpful as I messed up the booking and she contacted TripAdvisor on my behalf.
We hired a boat at windermere quays and had great fish and chips there, walked up catbells and stopped in Kendal as well.
Thanks Pam for a great weekend!
We have stayed before at mistletoe so couldn't wait to go back. Lodge has been transformed since we were last there. It was gorgeous before and now even better. I didn't think it was possible. We love the lakes and have stayed other places but none compare to mistletoe. It feels like home. You can feel it is a warm and inviting place from the moment you enter. After really busy days there is nothing nicer than relaxing in the hot tub. This is my children's favourite lodge we have stayed in and it didn't disappoint again. Lovely spot nice and quiet and pet friendly too. Our dogs loved the stay. They had a fabulous holiday too. Thankyou Pam we will be booking again xx
Cozy, warm lodge, with modern aspect. Fabulous hot tub. Suited family of 5 including teenagers. Delightful. Would go again.
