Just had a superb lunch at The Ryebeck: couldn't fault it. Attentive and professional staff (Paulina is a a great ambassador for the hotel with her excellent customer service skills: she was supported throughout our visit by Nora: friendly and courteous.) Excellent value for money. The food was extremely good. We will certainly make another visit as soon as we can.
Just one small comment and that is the dining room chair was incredibly uncomfortable: we could feel the frame through the upholstery. If people are to be encouraged to stay and order more food and drinks then new chairs are needed. However, this was overcome with the hospitality and genuine customer service given to us.

Celebrating an anniversary we stayed in bedroom 2 (an upgrade but worth it)for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The whole experience was relaxing and the view from the french doors which lead to the garden was a great view of windermere across the garden. The room is a good size with french doors and a second window providing plenty of natural light. The bedroom furniture is modern oak style and with white bedding and cushions the room is pleasing to the eye. The bathroom is also a good size with modern decor and large walk in shower, perhaps the shower could do with a little more power but lovely towels and dressing gowns where appreciated. Food was lovely, the breakfast choice is good and freshly made, we had dinner on the first evening and there was nothing wrong with our starter of soufflé and seafood cocktail followed by cumbrian pork plate (pork 3 ways inc. black pudding) and the slow cooked beef cheek was deliciously tender and moorish. We couldn’t manage a dessert. Being dog friendly was a bonus and the welcome mat including food, bowels and doggie bags in the room was a nice surprise. The Hotel is in a qiet position and is a good spot to potter into Bowness, plenty of car parking and nice gardens, yes i would recommend.

We booked a 2 course lunch with wine and are thrilled we did so as it was a superb venue. We were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary and it was a memorable event, for all the right reasons. The food was AMAZING! Delicious, outstanding are 2 words that we can use to describe it but doesn't really do it justice. We thought the portions were generous and beautifully presented. ALL the staff were professional. But we wanted to mention 2 particularly. They were Paulina and Timea who were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Paulina was especially patient with us as we were constantly taking photos and she willingly took ones for us. We were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye and thank her personally as she left for an appointment without us knowing. We did leave a tip with Duncan the manager to express our gratitude to her. Can we take this opportunity to immensely thank everyone at The Ryebeck for making our anniversary a very special occasion. If anyone reading this review is unsure as to whether to eat here we can wholeheartedly say don't hesitate, book it!! You will not be disappointed.

The Ryebeck is a bit off the beaten path in Bowness-on-Windermere, which is justified by its peaceful surroundings and excellent restaurant.

We stayed here for our first (of four) night(s) during our recent trip to Bowness-on-Windermere, and it certainly set the bar high.

Highly recommended and excellent, if you don't mind it being a bit out of the way !

While staying close by we chose to dine here for three evenings, such a treat! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was great. The views from the stylish dining room were lovely. So pleasant to see somewhere so well run,we were greeted each evening by name and treated as friends. We will be back! Congratulations to all .
