“Excellent Holiday in a Very Comfortable Cottage”

We wanted to take friends to Appleby to show them how nice the area is where my wife is from. We chose Jasmine Cottage as family members had stayed there before. We were not disappointed.
We had a good welcome with flowers and cake from the owner.
The cottage had everything we wanted ( and more - ie electric blankets ) and everything was clean and tidy. The pub next door was friendly and comfortable with good food.
Appleby being between the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales is well situated for all tastes.
What more can one ask for.
Excellent.

What can I say, marvellous. First time at this cottage and won't be last already trying to get dates organised for next year. We arrived to a very warm welcome and warm cosy cottage. Flowers in window, cake and milk for our coffee. The bedrooms gorgeous and so comfy.i made Christmas dinner for four of us and everything I needed was there.Met Steve the owner, in local pub,a really friendly guy and very helpful.A truly lovely cottage would highly recommend definetly value for money. We have been to several cottages and this is definetly top of list . The added bonus of being 2minutes from local friendly pub, Royal Oak is a plus.we parked cars up when we arrived and didn't touch till we left as it is only 10minute walk into Appleby.

Was given a warm welcome on arrival with flowers and cake which was a lovely gesture,
the cottage had everything you need for a lovely stay and a lovely garden for the dogs to run in. The Royal Oak was a lovely pub for meals and Appleby to walk round and was a great base for walks and discovering Cumbria.

“Excellent Cottage and location”

Spent the second week of October in this lovely, well equipped cottage with our daughter, her friend and our black lab.
Perfect location for touring the immediate area and also great base for the lakes.
Appleby is a lovely town and there are many great public places for walking our dog. The pub next door was perfect and did great food - Lilly (our dog) especially appreciated her own menu!
Cottage itself was compact and extremely well equipped - had everything we needed and was very cosy.
Would definitely recommend to others and if ever staying in the area again would come back
Thanks

“Cosy, Warm and Comfortable”
Reviewed 26 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Despite mixed weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage. Great Pub next door for food and TV football buffs. Excellent local facilities such as Park and Sports centre by the river.
Good choice of gift shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Ideal centre for Lakes, Borders, North Pennines and Northumberland.
