“Comfortable, ideal base.”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Jasmine Cottage is very comfortable and an ideal base to explore the Lake District and North Pennines.Beds were extremely comfortable,so much so we had problems getting one of our teenage boys out of it!
Lovely enclosed garden which our Springerdoodle loved.
Little extras upon arrival such as milk in the fridge and a cake, made you feel very welcome.
Mr and Mrs Campbell are very friendly and informative of area.
We enjoyed it that much, we have booked again for next year!

“A beautiful, charming cottage”
Reviewed 8 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

My mum, myself and my 3 year old and 3 month old stayed here the last week of July 2013. We had a wonderful time - the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating so thank you Vivien and Stephen! My 3 year old, Andrew, loved Fluffy and Felix the cats. The cottage itself was absolutely charming - I wanted to stay! So well equipped and so handy for walking into Appleby itself. One of the advantages was the washing machine which was used almost every day (the perils of having young children!) The bedrooms were so spacious it was hard to believe you were in a cottage and everything was so clean. Loved, loved, loved it and will definitely go back.

“Wonderful winter break”
Reviewed 19 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

We have enjoyed 4 nights here in the February half term with beautiful sunny weather. The cottage is great, really homely, comfortable beds, (with heated mattresses) very quiet and relaxing. There is a nice, enclosed garden for letting the dog out first thing, and wonderful walks along the river. Great pub (Royal Oak) at the end of the drive, early specials are fab value. Can not fault the cottage or area at all, feels very safe, short drive to the lakes. Tried to book the summer before we leave, but already booked up!
