Beautiful cottages in lovely setting. Warm and comfortable. Immaculately clean and great extra touches like flowers/wine/cream tea. Sorry we had to leave early. Highly recommended.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for leaving us a review - it is good of you to take the time. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay in cosy Bodrugan and that you appreciated our grounds and gardens too. Our welcome tray is very popular among our guests, and I'm pleased it went down well after your journey down. We are sorry that you couldn't stay for longer, but we hope you might like to return at some point in the future - you would be most welcome.

With best wishes and thanks,

David.

“This cottage and it's owner provided an absolutely brilliant holiday”
Reviewed 11 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this cottage and it's location. To call what we found in the cottage as "A welcome pack" comes nowhere near describing the treats we found.
A fabulous cream tea,a bottle of nice wine, tea.coffe, sugar milk and many more things we have never been provided with before. The layout and furnishings of the cottage are very high spec and the views and grounds spectacular. We had our very own marked parking space and lovley patio and barbque. We would love to return but are sure a cottage of this standard will be booked solid all year round. PS. Our border collie is still sulking that we had to leave!!

Dear Guest,

Sincere thanks for taking the time to write us such a charming review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your break in Bodrugan and that you appreciated our little treats in the welcome tray - we like to think it's a nice extra touch for our guests who have driven such a long way to find us. We're proud of Bodrugan cottage, and it's always good to read when guests notice the designer furnishings. It's fantastic that you appreciated our grounds too; as you can tell, we invest a lot of time in maintaining them to the highest standard, and it's a delight when guests have the time enjoy them. Of course, I am very happy that your collie enjoyed the stay as much as the rest of you - we love being dog-friendly and meeting all the four-legged guests! We do indeed tend to book up quite early for holiday periods, but in between we often have availability at excellent rates. I do hope we may be able to host your holiday again in the future - it would be great to welcome you back.

Best wishes and thanks,

David.

“Absolutely Brilliant - great family holiday”
Reviewed 11 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

I am surprised there are not more reviews on this holiday rental. When we were looking to book a short break for myself, my partner, our 4 year old daughter and 2 dogs, it was hard to find places that were suitable and at a decent price so I did some research on the near by area and read the existing review on Bodgruan/Tamar Valley Cottages and booked straight away. The photos available do not do it justice.
David, the owner is incredibly kind and provided great communication from before booking, when I made some enquiries, to the day we left, making life as easy and accommodating as possible.
We were greeted on arrival by David and in the cottage was a delightful welcome pack, very thoughtful.
At the cottages there are seating areas outside with barbeques, and a lovely couple of fields, great space, really well kept. Plenty of room for running around. There is also a trampoline and play shed with small seesaw and slide outside.
There are plenty of things to do near by, we found a dog friendly beach - Sandymouth Bay (there are others) - about half an hour drive away and Morrisons a 20 minute drive away in Bude. There are walks, activities, days out, pubs, restaurants all kinds of things all within about half an hour to an hour depending, of course you can search and go a bit further afield. It is Cornwall after all.
It is not just for families, people of all ages would enjoy themselves, there really is so much to do, or if you don't fancy doing anything you can just sit with a book and enjoy the views. We were not stuck for things to do!
The cottage itself was lovely, comfortable, warm, with temperature control, a fully kitted out kitchen, bath and shower, two good sized bedrooms and a seating area with TV, DVD player, books to read and wifi.
Everywhere was clean and very well looked after.
Full rubbish and recycling facilities too.
All set in a quiet and peaceful area.
Cannot recommend enough! We will be going back as soon as we can, I am actually looking now.

Dear Guest

Many thanks for writing such a wonderful review for Bodrugan - it's so kind of you to take the time; as you noticed not every guest gets around to it. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the cottage, and that you appreciated the facilities and of course our little welcome pack. We take time to make it feel like a home from home so it's reassuring to read when we've got it right. We're also very proud of our extensive gardens so I'm pleased to see you really made the most of them. Sitting with a book on these long summer evenings is bliss! I'm glad too to see you found plenty to do in the area, and thank you for your recommendation of Sandymouth - it is definitely one of our favourites and great for stretching little legs! Thank you also for your feedback regarding the pillows; duly noted, I shall look into providing a choice for our guests. It was great to meet you, and I very much look forward to hosting your holiday in the future - it is always a privilege to welcome a returning guest!

Best wishes and sincere thanks to you and your family,

David

“Perfect”

I was flicking through some family photos from last year and was reminded of the wonderful long weekend we spent in the Tamar Valley. I had been so impressed with Bodrugan that I went to look it up on Trip Advisor and was amazed to see that it hadn't yet received any reviews. Well, I have to address this situation:

Bodrugan is one of 4 cottages available at Tamar Valley Cottages. We went for Bodrugan as it offered my wife and I a luxuriant amount of living space as well a beautifully appointed bedroom whilst also offering a capacious separate bedroom for our 2 year old daughter. The beds were amazing (the best sleep we've had since becoming parents) and the beautifully thought through decor made our cottage a serene and relaxing place to stay in.

The whole cottage oozes quality and there are great facilities including a good kitchen. The residents of the other cottages were friendly but we felt completely comfortable keeping to ourselves. The owner, David is a lovely man and makes everyone feel very welcome.

There are some lovely outdoor facilities for children including a Wendy house that my daughter became obsessed with.

North Tamerton itself is wonderfully quiet. I am a keen photographer and took the opportunity to take some night shots without the light pollution that you get in the majority of the UK. It is a wonderful place to while away a day. Equally it is a great base to explore the moors and coastline. I'm tempted to go back soon!

Dear Guest

Thank you so much for leaving us such a positive review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Bodrugan, and were able to appreciate the luxury and comfort it provides - we pride ourselves on our interior design! You wouldn't be the first to compliment our beds, and we're very glad your daughter made the most of the play equipment. It was truly our pleasure to meet and host you and your family, and we do hope you'll book with us again so you can enjoy all that the cottages and the village have to offer.
Best wishes and thanks again,

David
