Had to send all our meals back to the kitchen. Food from pre-heated boxes. Tasteless. Poor service.Starters were the best. Mains and Desserts an absolute disaster.

A group of us took a while to decide from their varied menu (plus specials board) of fairly traditional pub food but the order arrived within a very reasonable time after ordering. My dish, a Broccoli cheese and potato bake with salad and bread was too large to eat. Others ordered the steak and ale pie and said how full of meat the pie was. A burger was ordered which was large and very tasty according to my friend. As it was our friend's birthday, we asked if we could bring her homemade cake in and have portions after the meal which they happily agreed to, providing plates.
Large interior and garden area with varied seating, families catered for.

Place was quite busy as it was Easter Monday, waited a little time for our food, however it was hot and nicely presented when it arrived.

Would return

Average food but huge portions, ordered lasagne which was soggy and a bit tasteless, the others had a variety of dishes which they seemed to enjoy . Prices are average for the area and drinks also average prices. It’s dog friendly in the bar and the staff are really pleasant.
Parking is a nightmare you have to give the bar staff your reg no on arrival. There’s a public car park across the bridge which we used only because the car park for the pub is so small and a bit muddy.
