Came here at the start of easter with my family and friends which were visiting us. We live 3 miles from the town. We found this visit different to previous.
The pub was busy but there were only 2 staff behind the bar and 1 waitress. The bar staff seemed stressed as they were busy at the bar and just 2 of them serving meant that we were wating a while just to get a drink to start. The pub was a bit of a mess with plates and glasses. When ordered the food was good. We gave the waitress 5 pounds as we could see how busy it was and she did a great job. Something has changed in that pub. Think we will be trying the king of prussia next time we are in fowey. Needs sorting out galleon.

Some colleagues and I spent a night in this truly beautiful town recently and stayed at The Galleon. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were of a good size and comfortable, with a bath in each of the ones we had. With the exception of the local seagulls, which must be the size of pterodactyl's for the noise they make in the morning, we all enjoyed both our stay and the breakfast.

Nice enough place but is at present being extended . Would definitely not have booked this b and b if we had been made aware of this, very noisy with building work As for Fowey we found it extremely overpriced in regard to everything . Parking is a nightmare and extortionate . Would you believe £42 for 4 days , we only stayed for 4 days but you cannot pay for less than 7 unless you want to spend most of your time feeding a ticket machine . Most of the pubs in town charge silly money for mediocre meals £13 for bangers and mash ? I don't think so . Drinks are also overpriced . Last time we will visit cornwall , will go abroad next time .

6 of us stayed here for a little January get away.
Overall rooms clean tidy and comfortable, the dinner and breakfast both excellent and great value, and we would recommend. However of the 3 rooms we booked, 2 were booked with sea view, which we didn't get, and we're just told they were taken, but they clearly were not when we booked them 5 months ago.
Secondly, and much more annoying, room 3 had no hot water at all, and when we complained, were told they knew, and we're waiting for it to be repaired, along with room 6. At no time did they inform of this, and clearly we were not happy. However the bill was adjusted accordingly, but it was still very frustrating.

Visited this pub whilst we were staying in Fowey, the pub has some nice views over the estuary which in the summer I would think would be quite stunning. The food was very good and hot and served by very friendly staff. Worth a visit.
