What a find ! We loved it... warm delicious, cheesy scones topped with butter, cheese and a wonderful chilli jam. The fruit scones were equally good. The chocolate cake was bitter with a rich fudgey filling .... very yummy! The service was fabulous catering for the children’s requests. Would definitely return and recommend.

Thank shelxx

Loved this tea house in a house with history. Great fritatta on our last visit. Had wonderful crab when we were there previously. Loved the tea served in beautiful China cups. Nice friendly staff.

Eight of us, including children, had lunch here over the Easter weekend. The service was great, although we had to wait quite a long time for food and it would have been nice if we could have had our drinks at least a little faster. When it arrived the food was lovely though. Good sized portions and nice fresh and varied salads. Reasonably priced too.

Fancy really good food served with a smile for a reasonable price?
This is the place to go.
Feels like sitting in granny's living room eating proper home made food.
The savory cream tea is awesome!

A good friend who is an expert high tea maker recommended this tea room to us. I was craving fresh crab and so my wife and I had a crab salad each, which was utterly delicious and perfectly presented. She had a perfect decaff ceylon tea, i had their beautiful afternoon tea, part English part Darjeeling. The tea list is astonishing, well explained and full of variety. We progressed to a cream tea with gooseberry jam. Just wonderful. Then a generous ball each of vanilla Cornish ice CREAM. Not the usual watery rubbish with milk powder or whatever. These are the things for which we come to Cornwall. For us, after visiting many of the 'usual' villages, Fowey was by far the nicest and this tea room is extraordinary, full of good things to eat in an atmospheric building. Cannot recommend too highly. We left with a packet of wild Assam tea and a big jar of gooseberry jam!! We hadn't even. Looked into the range of home made cakes. If only...
This place reminded me of the tea houses of my young days over 50 years ago. FABULOUS
