We have developed a habit of visiting most Sunday evenings to support the Odeon in the face of competition from the rather soulless Cineworld round the corner.
Yes, it could do with tidying up in places and the temperature can be variable but it exudes Art Deco charm that makes visiting a "picture palace" a real adventure. Lots of neat period touches remain and if that wasn't enough you can now take pizza into the screens from the Croma restaurant for £5 and a bottle of wine or a beer! Treat!
The staff are pleasant, both welcoming you and wishing you a good evening.
The tickets are only £4! Whilst the Cineworld's cynical £5 tickets shall, we fear, only remain whilst they try and muscle the Odeon out . . . before returning to £9!
Support this little gem, enjoy its features, quirks and charm. . . they just don't make them like this anymore! :-)
