The cakes you left on arrival were beautiful!! We had a very pleasant stay and you are in a great position for visiting so many places of interest in the area. Just returned from a 4 night stay at defoe house, and what a perfect little retreat it was. It has everything you need with the added advantage of a cooked breakfast being delivered to your table. Vanessa is a diamond, very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and nothing is too much trouble. There is so much to see and do in this area and we plan a return visit in the very near future. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B

Myself and my girlfriend had a lovely stay here. Very nice, clean and cosy guest house. Vanessa was very welcoming, hugely helpful (as it was our first time in the New Forrest) and a great host. We would highly recommend.

This is our second stay in two years. We hope to return again next year. We must say what a lovely place Vanessa has. Great to have your own front door key to the self contained annex. Always spotlessly clean with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Always a friendly welcome and a superb breakfast each day. On arrival we were left some lovely home made lemon cake. The area is such a lovely peaceful place to stay and you are right in the heart of the new forest. Fantastic for bike riding and of course the horses roaming free.
