Yes, the decor is tired, and the room on arrival was cold. But, the heating was sorted, the location is great, access to anything you may want in Lymington or the surrounding area is easy. Plus its a short walk to many of the good restaurants nearby.

PS great breakfast!

Clean and comfortable room with everything you need provided for, good value for money. Friendly staff, nice pub and good breakfast cooked to order. Great location, close to shops, pubs and restaurants.

Great location - short walk to Quay and High Street, good parking too. Hotel itself is a bit tired and in need of decorating and updating. Single glazing might be a bit chilly in winter. Room a bit shabby but clean and well equipped - nothing fussy but ok for an overnigh stay. Bar downstairs a bit gloomy and dominated by sports TV. Staff were delightful and very helpful.

Room Tip: ok for somewhere to stay overnight, convenient location

We took two rooms for a night here last week. Check-in isn't until 5pm as the pub doesn't open at lunchtime, but as we arrived the owner was outside, so checked us in and was happy for us to eat our picnic in their beer garden....very accommodating! The rooms were comfortable, very clean and with good bathrooms. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast, the bacon was fabulous. Only disappointment was the bar area, it was very dark and not very welcoming, a sort of dark green throughout, including the ceiling! Bit like breakfasting in a cave :-). Otherwise, all very good.

We were given the name of this place by a local and when we arrived the outside looked like a run down pub ..BUT the rooms were outstanding the room we had looked to be newly refurbished and very modern. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to please and breakfast was a feast - certainly recommend!
