What a gem! We really enjoyed our one night stay. Staff all very welcoming and our room was very comfortable. Free wifi and water + tea and coffee + parking all great. Especially liked our evening meal which was well cooked, seasoned and presented with style.

All I can say is Thank you to The Kings Head, we were walking around the town looking for a place to eat lunch when we came across The Kings Head, it was getting to the end of service and we literally 10 minutes before close but nothing was a problem for the staff and we were made to feel very welcome and not hurried at all. The menu was great and they had a lunchtime deal of 2 courses for £11.95, we opted for this deal and I don't think I have ever spent a better £11.95. I chose soup of the day to start which was delicious, it was served with lovely fresh bread and really was a meal in itself, very very goog. I then had the pie of the day which was Steak, I've never seen such good quality or quantity of meat in a pie and the triple cooked chips and veg that accompanied the pie were brilliant. I also had a pint of local beer "Buddy Bach" which was lovely. All together a truly memorable experience and I definitely will visit again when I next visit that part of the world and I cant wait to try the evening menu. GREAT FOOD, GREAT BEER, FANTASTIC SERVICE.

Absolutely loved this little hotel. We had a family room which was very spacious and well laid out, comfy beds and a great shower (over bath). The breakfast was plentiful in choice and quantity and they were very family friendly. Parking was available on site. Only downside is the creaky floorboards, but no worse that my own house and the price you pay for staying in a bit of history!

The Kings Head is a very comfortable hotel in the centre of Ross-on-Wye, with the best bar in town. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was good. The history of the building and the its many quirks added to a lovely stay.

Spent couple of nights here. Loved it the moment we checked in. Friendly staff, lovely old bar and excellent food. Both our rooms were large and comfortable, beds were huge.Would definitely stay here again.
