the layout of the house was very good with plenty of facilities.the parking of vehicles was easy,a must in salcombe.the steep hill to salcombe was very testing for a seventy year old.overall it was a good experience seeing a beautiful area in brilliant weather.

“A super place to stay in Salcombe”
Reviewed 13 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We just loved Over Ria. Spacious, clean as a whistle and incredibly well equipped. We travelled with our daughter, son-in-law and two year old grandson. Everything was provided for us - we just loved it. Over Ria is at the top of a hill and walking back up from Salcombe proper needs a few stops to enjoy the view! But what a view. The sight of the East bank of the Ria lit by the setting sun was fabulous. There is always plenty of activity on the water for you to watch. Try the Ferry pub which has a garden right on the waterside. And Salcombe - what a discovery. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Do not fail to try the pasties from the butchers shop. Plenty of walks and - for us - kind weather in a fairly forgettable summer. Super!

“Stunning Salcombe”

We have just returned from a lovely week in OverRia. I found it on the holiday lettings website and chose it because of the lovely views and great value for money. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and everything we could have needed was there ready for us. The master suite overlooks the beautiful estuary views and so does the double room. Our two young boys were over the moon at having a tv in their room! The views from the front of the house are lovely. It is a hort walk to town but it is a bit of pull to come back up, Salcombe is very hilly to walk around, but this allows you to see the estuary wherever you are. North and South sands are both beautiful and only a short walk from the house, especially once you find all the little public footpaths dotted everywhere. My only advice is book fine weather and be prepared for the 'Chelsea sett' to arrive on the weekends - you'll soon spot them they have pink trousers and black range rovers!
