“Relaxing and out of the ordinary property”

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Henley Royal Regatta. Alexander and David were very welcoming and helpful hosts, who had provided not only essential groceries but also some chocolate treats. The upper barn conversion has resulted in an unusual space, appealingly decorated but with inevitable sloping ceilings and bedrooms on the small side. In rural surroundings with a lovely view of cornfields the barn has all the usual amenities and good bathrooms. If staying for longer we would have wished for a dining table, however small, and perhaps a couple of folding chairs. We enjoyed our stay which gave us the relaxation we needed and the size of the property was ideal for the two of us.

Management Response

Thank-you for leaving a review, as our first customer booking we are keen to improve the whole barn experiance, since your stay we have upgraded the bedrooms with new 5ft kingsize pocket sprung beds, and taken the wardrobes out of the bedrooms and in their place put in architectural vintage brass overhead railway carriage racks for hanging dresses and jackets, also fold out suitcase tables, which has made a massive difference to the size of the bedrooms, they look much bigger than before and yet also have bigger beds, we also have upholstered the beams where there are windows and the beds, to make the lower down old beams more friendly, and we are putting in a pull up oak breakfast bar with collapsible chairs, handmade to match the handmade oak kitchen, for longer stay customers, we have upgraded the groceries we leave in the barn to all organic, to reflect the organic farming all around the barn, please recommend us to your friends, thank-you again for staying :-)
