“Well.”

Thatched cottage with roses round the door it is not. But how long do you spend outside admiring the architecture? This place is very suitable for a stay, with your dog if you wish, as it is very easy in which to live, comfortably furnished and appointed and by no means Spartan as are some. The owners clearly have an idea on what will suite most folk. And it provides a nice kitchen if you want to cater for yourselves; but a minute or three down the road is a nice place where you can start the day with an English breakfast of varying levels if you wish and return for tea later on. Also the shower works very well and does not burn or freeze you at intervals! Ideally placed for local eateries and good walks from the front door, the sea a short drive and places of interest too. Or just relax in the garden which is not overlooked. So really provides all the reasonable man may desire (oh and the ladies as well of course). Good parking too so no up on a verge or "down the road". Suited us in all respects. Give it "good" because don't want owners to become complacent of course.

“A good place to stay”
Reviewed 2 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We thoroughly enjoy our stay. Accommodation was clean and tidy and facilities good. Wifi was excellent (important to us).
Location was ideal - convenient access to beach + local walks + excellent local pub (The Gun inn).
Would revisit and happily recommend this place

“The Haven is well named because the place has a tranquil quality, although Brighton's 'bustle' is also accessible.”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We made extensive use of tranquil garden and surrounding walks to surrounding hills and the local village both for enjoying views and for dog walking.. but we also made regular drives into Brighton in order to attend Brighton Fringe festival events. We were grateful that the rental price did not seem to have been inflated to coincide with the festival dates .. unlike other festival accomodation we have experienced.

“A peaceful place”
Reviewed 26 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

A second visit to this delightful spot, a pretty village with good pubs and friendly people. Accommodation excellent though I prefer a softer mattress. I have little doubt that we will be back.

“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 8 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Beautiful bungalow with everything you could need. We had a fantastic stay here, so much so that we booked two more nights at the end of our holiday.
Elaine and Steve were always very friendly, great communicators and extremely
accommodating.
Would love to stay again and highly recommend The Haven.
