We came to stay here as part of a wedding party for one night.
Room very dated, not clean. There was a step up into the bathroom that was too high. With no rail to hold onto. We were then greeted by a bible holding the bathroom window open. Toilet very dirty.
This hotel does not warrant the amount of money we paid to stay for one night.
The staff were unhelpful, bad attitudes and very inexperienced. It seemed to ask for something was a problem for them.
In respect of breakfast, waited to be seated but staff just ignored the fact we were there. After getting a table waited again to get a hot drink. We got our food only to have to ask for the table to be cleared first.
It would seem the staff are very inexperienced, have no customer service skills whatsoever. There seems to be no training.
However the cooked breakfast was nice.
What a joke this place is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not worth the money we paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I visited here for a Sunday evening meal. We chose to sit in the restaurant which has some great old pictures of yeovil on the walls. We had the whole place to ourselves which was a bonus as others were dining in the bar area and conservatory both of which looked very nice. I had Smokey bean chilli which for 4.99 was delicious! My husband had the sirloin steak which he said wasn't the best he'd had as it was a bit overcooked, we could have sent it back but it wasn't that bad and he still ate it! We both had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for dessert which was gorgeous and only 2.99 each.
The food was served quickly and with a smile and the staff were very attentive.
We will return in the future.

Me and my husband booked this place as we was meeting up with some friends in town! Firstly we arrived at 3:15 to be told our room wasn’t ready we waited 2 hours once we finally got to the room it was dark dirty and tired! The walls are so thin you can hear word for word what people are saying in the next room! The floors are so creaky we were woken up at 6 am by someone up stairs for 2 hours!! Breakfast was just as bad one waitress for the whole restaurant! I ordered eggs Benedict to be told they had no hollandaise sauce I said that’s fine I’ll have no sauce it then came out with rock hard muffins that were uneatable the eggs were hard and they put bernaise sauce on the top! Needless to say I did not eat it! My husband had the full breakfast he didn’t get a choice of egg or came out like it had all been deep fat fried the beans were the best part! I can safely say we would never ever come here again

It's a really nice and friendly family pub/hotel we stayed for the weekend. We loved it and so did the kids.I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. The staff are hard working and polite. Food was amazing. I can't wait to come back again with the extended family.
