“A beautiful home.”
Reviewed 23 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

A beautiful home in the unspoilt village of Sibford Gower, run by the lovely Sara, Richard and Lydia. The house is everything you would hope for, beautifully kept with added care and attention to detail. We loved it! And to be greeted with fresh home-made bread, scones, marmalade and freshly laid eggs and milk - what more could you possibly want? Thank you to our charming and very helpful hosts. We look forward to our next visit.

“Beautifully Renovated Cottage in a Delightful Village”

I stayed in Hillcrest Cottage with my partner, and family, over Easter Bank Holiday weekend... we booked the cottage on the morning that we arrived and the owners, Sara and Richard, were easy to contact, and very welcoming.

We were given a thorough tour of the house and facilities, before being left to it, arriving to a lit fire, fresh eggs from Sara and Richard's hens... and home made marmalade from Lydia, their daughter!

The house has just been renovated and in fact, we were some of the first guests to stay there... it has been sympathetically updated to the highest of standards and has everything you could want... modern and spacious bathrooms, a gorgeous kitchen with AGA, two very comfortable bedrooms and a really great garden - almost complete... we were aware in advance that it was still awaiting finishing touches.

There is a great pub around the corner - serves good food and drinks, with a really decent and inviting landlord... there's an area to sit out and a Sunday pub quiz... all good fun. There are lots of other local pubs - and the house is really well located for accessing Stratford, Stow, and lots of other Cotswold villages.

We stay in quite a few holiday cottages and this is, without question, one of the best - the house and village are all you could hope for, the owners are helpful and friendly, and the surrounding areas are beautiful...! We will certainly return!
