Everything impressed us about Brambles (and we have visited quite a few self-catering cottages in this area). Wonderfully thoughtful welcome pack and more importantly our welcome was perfect too - and totally unobtrusive. Thank you for letting us share that perfect location. Brambles is a beautifully designed space that you could easily stay in for longer than just a weekend and still be in love with it. Great view and super walks all around, with usual ease of visiting many other towns and villages you always wanted to see in the middle of England. Really did not want to leave and will be back as soon as possible please!
Short three night stay early in the New Year to relax and plan for the year to come. Quiet location which really suited us. Cottage was really comfortable and well appointed. Friendly welcome and the lovely homemade bread was appreciated. Cottage was warm despite the cold temperatures outside. Would recommend walks in the grounds of Wroxton College which is just a few minutes drive away.
View from the back of the cottage is really pleasant although it was not a time of year for sitting outside! Would come again.
Stayed at the brambles for 3 nights as a weekend getaway. Very easy to get too and given good directions by carol.
The accommodation is lovely! This is a converted stables and it has been done to a high spec, which can be clearly seen by the quality of the bathroom and kitchen area.
Great high powered shower and comfy bed. Nice big TV smart TV on the wall of the living area with comfy sofa for the evenings. Also has a DVD player.
Views are also well worth a mention!
Great location as right in the middle of everywhere, half hour to Oxford (we got the park and ride) and stratford as well as the Cotswolds which we didn't get to explore this time.
We had a really great time and will certainly be returning.
A couple of little things that didn't really impact our stay and certainly aren't criticisms but I think are worth a mention.
1) I get allergies and I was sitting in the living part and felt my nose starting to get a bit blocked, found the cushions on the sofa were filled with feathers and unfortunately that is something I am alergic too, we just banished the cushions to the single room with the door closed and it caused me no further issues but just a heads up for anyone.
2) the bathroom does not have any privacy glass, not an issue for us as we just kept the blind closed and used the light even in the day, but there was a gentleman walking up and down the first day working in the garden outside (on a wall I believe) and in the summer I guess there may be more people outside using the tables etc making the most of the sun, didn't really bother us or affect us but if thinking of making any future improvements that might be one to look at.
We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and it has everything you would need! I never stayed in a self catering let before and this surpassed all my expectations! Can't wait to return!
Only spent two nights while passing through the Midlands but all the necessities were provided including a very nice home baked cheese and onion loaf which was very welcomed after our late arrival.
We would recommend Brambles to our friends and would love to return. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. My partner and I stayed there with our 12 year old daughter, who enjoyed having her own space upstairs (access via a loft ladder). Beautiful views of the countryside and lovely gardens. The owners were very helpful and even brought us new tower fan as it was so warm!
