Across the boarder between England and Wales a must do photo opportunity with Chepstow castle in the background, even better if the tide is high

This lovely, narrow old bridge straddling the England-Wales border offers great views of the majestic river Wye and Chepstow Castle perched on a rock looking down. An easy 2 minute walk from tourist information and not to be missed - its one of teh few parts of Chepstow where you can see the Wye easily.

I walk past this bridge most days on my way to work so know it well. Whether it's raining, misty, or sunny, I think the bridge always looks fantasic and is a distinctive landmark in Chepstow. With views to the large castle on the cliffs or across the riverfront/bandstand, it doesn't fail to impress. From the bridge, you can either walk up the steep paths into Tutshill village (England) where there is a lovely large park/play area at the top of the hill for children (and a cheeky coffee is recommended in 'Toast' opposite!!), or the other way into Chepstow (Wales) across the riverbank path past the bandstand, and up into town.

A pleasure to drive over but now less used because much newer road that bypasses the original A48. Unless you live in Tutshill or need to to a certain part of the Forest of Dean you are unlikely to use it.
