The apartment is immaculately cleaned, lovely space, bright with lots of good light, nice and private bedroom windows, all the facilities you require in great condition, cream tea on arrival and we also got a bottle of delicious local apple juice as neuter of us drink. Shower is superb, nice space to sit outdoors as well, parking right outside. The property is right by a great pub and also a few minutes drive from a big Waitrose, but there is a smaller Lidl a minutes walk away and a boots pharmacy, we very much enjoyed our stay, thank you Nancy, and thank you for posting back the clothes and baby toys we left! Highly recommend! Xxx

“Wonderful family holiday”

9-16 July 2016
My husband, 3 year old son and I had a really wonderful holiday staying at Anstis Court. Very well equipped ground floor 2 bedroom apartment with lovely airy bright lounge kitchen diner and outdoor space. Good location for walking to Sidmouth and to visit lots of attractions a short drive away. Our son loves trains which was ideal as close by was:- Pecorama (Beer), Seaton Tramway, Devon Railway & Model Village (Exmouth). We also went to the Donkey Sanctuary, The Cobb Beach at Lyme Regis (lovely sandy beach) and Exmouth Harbour. We ate at The Bowd Pub, Sidmouth and had a few lovely meals and the bonus was a play park to entertain our son! Bloaters Chippy, Sidmouth-best fish and chips! The Harbour Pub, Beer - delicious Sunday lunch overlooking the bay listening to live music (they have live music in the daytime every sat and sun). Mocha cafe, Sidmouth - yummy fry up. All in all a fab week - thank you so much to Nancy the apartment owner who also left our son a bucket and spade and us a basket of delicious local produce and fresh flowers

“Everything for a relaxing holiday”

The apartment was comfortable and immaculate, everything had been thought of, there is a TV, CD/DVD player, iron, hairdryer, washing machine, dishwasher, outside patio area with table and chairs, well appointed kitchen with double oven, pans, baking tins and utensils - we could have cooked a full roast dinner if we'd felt inclined (but we didn't). It is very close to the Balfour Arms, which serves very good food at reasonable prices, but was not noisy even with the football going on. Also nearby is a newsagent, butcher, baker, post office/vet and a small supermarket in the petrol station as well as a Lidl store.
If you don't want to drive into Sidmouth there is a good bus service, which also goes to Exeter, very close to Anstis Court. Alternatively it's a good 20-30 minute stroll into town along The Byes - a managed woodland/park walk & cycleway following the river. You could walk along the road, but it's not so attractive!
There was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us on arrival which was so thoughtful, including milk and tea so we could have a reviving cuppa after our journey. Lots of clear instructions, tourist information and pamphlets for Sidmouth and the surrounding area. (Don't miss the Donkey Sanctuary and the Norman Lockyer Observatory).
An excellent holiday, even though the weather was not kind!

We have just come back from a relaxing week staying at Anstis Court the flat has everything you could need, it is clean and bright and in a very good situation with parking. The walk into Sidmouth using the Byes is very attractive altogether a holiday you will want to repeat.

The apartment was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. There was a welcome basket waiting for us containing local produce. Lots of information about the surrounding attractions, bus timetables, takeaway menu's etc. Just a short walk form the front with lots of shops to browse on the way.
