We visited and stayed at the Cheriton for one night in March 2018 as a present from our children Dawn and Martin were excellent hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and the room was lovely with a firm bed - perfect for a back sufferer.

We stayed in this b&b after getting stuck in a snow storm on our way home and not be able to drive any further. I was in an absolute state and the owners were so lovely in giving us a room and letting us get warm in the lounge while they made the bed and so on. Apart from this, it is in a great location and really close to the town centre. The morning breakfast was delicious and the choices available was great. The guest lounge area was beautiful with board games and tv. Bed was super comfy and all in all a brilliant place to stay. Will definitely visit again in the summer. Cannot thank you both enough.

Many thanks for your kind review, it was a pleasure having you to stay and we are pleased you enjoyed your unscheduled visit.
We look forward to welcoming you back with less dramatic weather.... it rarely snows in Sidmouth so next time should be
easier! Our very best wishes to you both. Dawn and Martin

stayed just one night...visiting Sidmouth to celebrate a fiends birthday....but the view is tempting me to come back and stay longer.
The Cheriton is lovely; Martin and Dawn are very welcoming, the room is lovely...well presented and clean with a lovely little balcony to enjoy the view (must come back in the summer to enjoy it )
Full cooked English breakfast was just what I needed...though plenty of other choices too. A lovely little guest house. Thank you

Great place for overnight stay if walking South West Coast Path. Good value for money. Clean and quiet room (top floor). Good full English breakfast. Very friendly host. Close to seafront and shops for restocking rucksack.

Stayed just one night in this lovely guest house. Warmly greeted and offered tea and coffee in the lounge as soon as we arrived, even although this was provided in the room. Beautiful location for a river walk and easy distance of town centre and promenade. Immaculate room with plenty of space and a balcony. Nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly recommend this B & B. Better than a lot of hotels we have been in. Mags & Jim

Room Tip: Room no. 3 is a quiet room and has a balcony overlooking the back of the house and garden
