“Great days at Tomidhu!”

Fighting the inclination to keep Tomidhu/Cairngormlight all for ourselves, we cannot but highly recommend this beatifully restored farmhouse. It is an utterly charming cottage that nevertheless meets all modern standards. Tomidhu is set in a breathtaking and unspoilt location excellent for exploring the Cairngorms, Royal Deeside or the Highland towns of Ballater and Braemar. The views and fenced garden definitely are additional assets.
There is so much to see, to explore and to walk in the immediate surroundings regardless your interests or abilities (even regardless the weather). This is a little gem for both nature or history lovers as well as for the more active outdoors enthusiasts.
Although 2014 was their first season, they already boast a guest book filled with glowing references. All practical arrangements went very smoothly too. We very much felt taken care of even without meeting the owners in person. Tomidhu/Cairngormlight is a wonderful bolthole to return to (sooner rather than later).

“Beautiful cottage, great stay”
Reviewed 13 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It is well equipped and beautifully presented. The location was perfect for a long weekend on the slopes (Glenshee) and we enjoyed snuggling up by the fire in the evening. The price was very reasonable for the facilities and quality of the accommodation. We will definitely return for another stay and would recommend it for skiing, walking or just a nice weekend away. Wi-Fi would be a good addition to this cottage.
