We stayed at this hotel for one night on a touring holiday of the UK and Ireland. The hotel has online check-in however we did not take advantage of it. The receptionist was a credit to her employer. She was extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. When asked, she said the hotel does not have a laundry for guests’ use however she would be happy to put a load of washing through for us in the hotel’s laundry. This was above and beyond the call of duty and was very much appreciated given we had been on the road for over a week and needed to do some washing. Although I was more than happy to collect the washing when finished, she delivered it to our room instead – and with a smile.
Wi-fi was free and the bed was very comfortable. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant which was pretty standard although when I asked for some ice in the absence of an ice machine in the hotel or fridge in the room, the bar staff member grudgingly agreed and reluctantly gave me a smallish glass full. Breakfast the next morning was buffet-style for cereal, toast, fruit etc. The hot food was ordered off the menu and delivered to the table. My eggs and bacon weren’t the best I’ve ever tasted, but nor were they the worst. A little less oil in the cooking of them would have been preferred....We stayed at this hotel for one night on a touring holiday of the UK and Ireland. The same young woman was on duty again when we checked-out and again her sunny personality was in evidence making her an asset to the hotel.More
