We visited here on Mother's day, we had made a reservation though Facebook, however when we arrived there wasn't any reference to it. To the credit of the front of house, this did not phase them and they managed to accommodate our group of 6, with only with a small delay.
The restaurant is bright and airy and has a good ambience. The bar is well stocked, the cocktails were original and pretty good - give them a try! The menu offers a good choice without being large. It's great to see Darlington host to a restaurant that pushes the boundaries. I opted for the scallop starter which was well presented and delicious. The chocolate dessert was to die for, rich, beautifully presented and moreish!
Mains were a choice of Sunday roast, which were good but didn't match the high standard of the starter and dessert. I think the style of the food lends itself more to contemporary dishes and I will definitely be returning to try the full menu!
