We had a wonderful long weekend in The Bothy cottage at East Greystone Farm. The cottage is an ideal location for exploring an endless list of places of interest but its hard to go out for the day when the farm has so much to offer. Its a perfect setting for enjoying the countryside. So quiet and peaceful at night too. We received a very warm welcome from Sue who had stocked the cottage with everything we needed, including some home made scones, yum! This accommodation enabled us to park right outside the door which was handy for unloading the car. We also had lots of privacy but knew Sue was never far away if we needed anything else. Many many thanks for making our weekend so easy.

Lovely farm cottages in a rural setting but close to shops and restaurants. Beautiful views. Owners have thought of everything, just pack your bags. We have stayed in all 3 cottages, two - 1 bedroom, one - 2 bedroom, each has it's own charm. Very comfortable, clean, warm welcome and friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit to this beautiful quaint cottage. Staying in the stable cottage it is a decent sized double bedroom apartment. The people who own this place are really lovely and we were greated with homemade scones! Highly recommend this place if you want a nice break from the city.

We stayed at stable cottage for 3 nights, what a lovely experience, a nice welcome pack from Sue containing eggs milk biscuits and some lovely homemade scones and jam, the cottage was so well equipped , washer dishwasher, microwave as well as all sorts of pots pans and cutlery, It was finished to a high standard as was ideal for us as we were visiting relatives. Went to the maritime experience in Hartlepool a good day out.

This is the fifth time we have been to East Greystone. There is absolutely everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Just watching the animals and birds from the window is worth a hundred therapy sesions. Gainford is ideally suited for trips out. One day we had a beautiful day in the lakes. ( about an hour and a half's drive ) and another day we went across the North Yorkshire Moors to Whitby. Plenty of village pubs close by who all seem to serve very good food. If you want a quiet beautiful place to stay I would thoroughly recommend East Greystone. Thanks to Sue and Michael.
