I bought the pork rib eye in lavender marinade yesterday. An impulse buy! It was totally delicious and so easy to cook too. Definitely one to have again

I’ve heard a lot about Hollow Trees and how wonderful it is. We went on a Saturday and even though the weather wasn’t brilliant it was still pretty busy. The farm trail is alright, with plenty of animals, play areas and a reasonable sized picnic area. It didn’t take us long to get around and see the animals. We ate outside after seeing how massively overpriced the cafe was (£5+ for a sandwich!!!) and I’d read previous reviews about people receiving complaints when feeding their children their own food from home. We had a look around the shop before leaving, again fairly pricey for some of the items there.
Didn’t really live up to the hype.

Lots to do for Children of all ages. Get to see all the classic farm animals and can feed the cows, goats, chickens, pigs and sheep. There are also different activities for little ones to take part in with a few different play areas, ride on tractors, welly throwing etc.

There is a coffee shop/cafe outside the farm trail but once in can grab a hot drink and there but also a lot of designated picnic areas.

Animals all seem healthy and have plenty of space to move around

Farm trail is easily accessible and pretty flat all the way round, can get pretty muddy (as it is a farm) so pack some spare shoes.

really good day out , even though very cold and muddy , the children absolutely loved not only the animals but the amazing assortment of varied play areas around the perimeter. The ropes to pull themselves up the bank were a massive hit with all ages boys and girls alike. Good covered areas for a picnic, plenty of hand washing areas for use after petting the animals . Would like to go again when not so cold . Didn't get to sample the restaurant as it was packed to bursting....that speaks for itself . Farm shop looked good too, but was very busy.
