We have just returned home after an excellent three-night break at this Premier lnn. My husband & l have stayed at a great many Premier Inns around the UK over the years and this is definitely one of the best. It is ideally situated on the outskirts of lpswich in a quiet little backwater off a main road. It is adjacent to a Vintage Inn pub/restaurant called The Beagle.

On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by Nipsi, a charming young lady with an unusual name. We had telephoned in advance to request a twin-bedded room with a shower rather than a bath. Our special request had been noted and we were given card keys to room 10, just off the reception area. Nipsi explained the breakfast system and made us a booking for dinner at the pub next door.

The room proved to be most comfortable and so quiet that we were able to sleep very well on all three nights. We were not disturbed at all either by exterior or interior noise. The room was serviced to a high standard by Katie and fluffy white towels were changed each day.

The adjacent pub was not open for breakfast. Instead a very nice breakfast room was open each day from 6.30am just off the reception area so that guests didn't have to go outside. Full English or Continental choices were available. The FEBs were cooked to order were served by pleasant and efficient staff members.

We found all members of staff at this particular Premier Inn most pleasant and helpful. There is ample parking on site and a large retail park is within a mile of the hotel. We went to the Tesco store there each morning to buy our newspapers.

My husband and l found this Premier Inn to be an excellent base for sightseeing in Suffolk and we will certainly stay here in future.

Room Tip: If you are elderly and want a room with a shower, ask for room 10 on the ground floor

Poor quality, rude staff. No one at reception at any time, buzzer not working and told I was rude for knocking on the staff door to be able to check in. Room not that clean, no bath, tv damaged. Shutting of doors was so loud it woke me up during the night despite earplugs

Premier Inn on west side of Ipswich easily accessible, rooms as you would expect. The only criticism is that breakfast is overpriced for what you get; some of the items were unavailable, and staffing is an issue, there just wasn't enough to cope, We found The Beagle Pub Restaurant adjacent very disappointing, they also didn't live up to expectations, the meals had to be sent back twice, with hardly any reduction in the final bill, wouldn't eat there again on principle.
