We stayed in a hotel in Neptune Quay and the views were fantastic. There are now a growing number of places to eat, it’s great for a stroll, jog or cycle around- we saw all these, and a very busy, yet totally relaxing, area. It’s great to see old buildings and dis-uses factory’s being converted into hotels or accomoafation, restaurants or shops. It’s surprisingly close to the cinema and we noticed a lot of people walk the route to work or into town. We could see the Orwell Bridge, and spent hours watching the different boats in the marina. It’s hidden but follow the one way system round and you will find it, be careful or you could drive right past!!!

One of the nicest parts of Ipswich.
Lined with restaurants, eateries, cafes bars and pubs there is a lot to explore.
Food along here is varied and ranges in price.
A nice classy area of Ipswich.

Nicest part of the town and nice for a relaxed walk. There are some nice places to eat and drink nearby. Not far from the cinema too so a great place for a relaxed weekend afternoon.

The sun was out and we had a lovely stroll along the Quay. Lovely place to sit in the sun and have a drink or a bite to eat.

Stayed at the Premier Inn opposite the quayside. Very nice area with lots of restaurants and little cafes. Looks like its been well developed but there are a couple of buildings needing removed or renovated but in general it's OK. Town centre left a lot to be desired. On the side streets there is a big mix of boutiques and restaurants. If you get the chance to see a show at the regent theatre then I would recommend it.
