“70 minute waiting in queue”

We took the cable car from the top to the bottom. There was no queue at the top but the queue from the bottom to return took 70 minutes to transverse. Tip: When you reach the top of the steps to the approach slope you have 60 - 70 minutes to wait.

Went in the morning and there was a bit of a queue. It was cash only due to WiFi not being great but a lady came down the queue to tell people and let them know where they could get some cash from. My daughter was very nervous but said it was amazing when she got to the top. Only two people were allowed in each car due to it being abit windy. Much better to get a return ticket as only 50p extra
Great views on the journey and at the top. Especially as such good weather, although quite breezy!

You can take the cable car to the summit of the great Orme where there is a restaurant, bar and shops, there are also a lot of paths criss crossing the hillside.
You can either walk back down or take the cable car and sit back and admire the views.

The pricing is £10 p/p one way and 50p p/p return.
On alighting at the top, were told to to be back for the return trip 16:00 latest. We returned at 15:30 only to find it was shut and staff gone home- no message on the ticket office why.
The wind wasn't any stronger, so I concluded that in late afternoon when everyone had finished paying their £10 to go up, then it wasn't worth their while hanging around to bring people back down for only 50p, so they leave their customers stranded!! You then have the options of either walking down, or pay about £6.60 to catch the tram car back down. Very poor customer service, I won't use the cable car again. When catching the tram car and explaining the problem, the tram car guys said "the cable car staff regularly did this"

My advice - USE THE TRAM CAR, it works out cheaper as there is no return on the cable car.

The cable car ride is amazing.

The price is appalling! It’s not Alton Towers. Adults £10 single or £10.50 return! It is a mile long but they must be raking it in.
The hour long+ queue on the steepest (65 degree) slope was horrendous! I’d slowly walked up with my 85 year old (pretty fit) mum n dad but with no seats at the top and no flat place to stand meant they cramped up after a 30 minute stand. No warnings about the possible queue either on the way up. You can drive to adjacent cat park but still would have to do this steep steps/hill bit.
Cash only!! Seriously, it’s 2018 and £35 (ish) for a family of 4, its a long way back for the cash! We paid £40 for 4 adults one way and £6.60 each down on the tramway.
It was a fab trip... but someone is raking it in... and they don’t care about bringing it up to more inclusive standards.
Shame on you.

4 Adults - 3 Beers, a tea and a scone / cable car up, tram ride down - total cost £75 for approx 2 hours.

Amazing but couldn’t afford to do it again!
