I had today indeed a very relaxing day !I don't know what to mention first : the beautiful place were Bodysgallen Spa its located , wonderful staff or the amazing treatment gave it by my therapist Roisin. I must admit that the place have class and very well train staff. Linda(if I remember her name correct) the spa receptionist make me from the beginning to feel very welcome and after that I been'' escorted'' by the therapist to the changing room .The pool its very nice , they have Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room as well. But the most beautiful and relaxing time I had after my aromatherapy massage .Welcome staff ,well train and skilled .I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: unfortunatle i been visiting just the spa !

We wanted a three day break in North W, picked the Bodysgallen Hall because it offered what we wanted and was in the right area. The staff, the room, all the facilities and the food were all top quality and we are already thinking of when we can go again.

It is some time since my last visit some 20yrs ago and it did not disappoint. Amazingly peaceful location. Two stand out aspects.... the helpful, friendly and efficient team of staff that appear just at the right time and the fantastic food beautifully presented and executed by the kitchen team. All enhanced by lovely linens, silver and glassware oh and the delightful spa. A special anniversary treat indeed. Thank you Bodysgallen. Jackie Crawford

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago, The building itself is great, the grounds are gorgeous, the restaurant is first rate (dinner was very good), the staff was very nice, very friendly, and very accommodating.

However, the one downside of this place is the rooms. They are very much in need of updating. They are also very quirky (it's a very old building) so, even though you've booked a specific one you may need to look at a couple, if they've got space, before you settle on one.

We had booked a specific suite and it was spacious, but was above the kitchen and when they started dinner prep, was very noisy, so we were able to move. The second suite had a very nice view of Conwy Castle, but had the smallest bathroom I've encountered in a very long time. Both of these rooms also need to be re-decorated (freshened up), and re-furnished as, I suspect, do all the rooms.

On the whole, even talking into account my criticism of the room, I think this is a very nice spot and had a very nice stay, and would recommend staying here.

Kind remarks about the house, gardens, restaurant and staff much appreciated. The bedrooms of this house, now owned by the National Trust, are consistent with what this reviewer actually likes. Individual, decorated in a traditional country house style, and with bathrooms, some large, some not, incorporated without prejudice to the historic fabric and its detail. The past dating back to 1250 works in the present.

Standing in over 200 acres of its own parkland to the south of Llandudno with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. Believed to have 13th century origins, Bodysgallen Hall provides all that is best in country house hospitality. Beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with a cascade, a walled rose garden, and several follies. Historic House Hotels Ltd bought and rescued the house from a dilapidated state in 1981 and restored the 17th century house and gardens. In September 2008 Historic House Hotels Ltd and its interest in all its properties were given to the National Trust to ensure their long-term protection, with all profits benefiting the houses and the charity. The 15 extremely comfortable bedrooms in the Main Hall offer several different room types, including the four elegant principal suites. Each bedroom is individually decorated and furnished with antique furniture, paintings and prints, enjoying glorious views of Bodysgallen's parkland or gardens, with some rooms having further reaching views of Conwy Castle or the distant Mountains of Snowdonia. There are 16 cottage suites with picturesque names like The Smithy, Box Cottage and Pineapple Lodge, are situated in the grounds, and provide accommodation for guests preferring a greater degree of privacy. Many cottages enjoy their own private gardens and some are in close proximity to the Bodysgallen Spa. All are charming and delightful. The Dining Room in the main hall has been awarded three rosettes for fine dining by the AA - the only restaurant in Llandudno to be awarded such - and offers imaginative meals prepared from fresh local produce and complemented by fine wine, and overlooks the gardens and has been recognised as one of the best places for Sunday Lunch in the United Kingdom by The Observer newspaper. The Spa is approached by a short walk through the garden or by a private road. Converted from an original stone built farm it contains a magnificent 50' swimming pool edged with comfortable reclining chairs, whirlpool spa bath, steam room and sauna. A superb gymnasium has all the latest technologically advanced equipment, suitable for all ranges of fitness. A comfortable Club Room is a place where guests and members can relax and enjoy drinks and light meals, which in the summer are also served on the terrace. Residential guests have full use of the Bodysgallen Spa.Bodysgallen Hall is situated about 2 miles south from Llandudno and the North Wales coast. It is surrounded by over 200 acres of beautiful gardens and wooded parkland. Bodysgallen Hall has magnificent views of Snowdonia, and Conwy Castle.
