Second time coming here with my girlfriend. She surprised me with afternoon tea and spa treatments for my birthday. Gorgeous food and surroundings, shame about the typical welsh weather. Staff were welcoming and polite as always. Lovely cosy spa with one hell of a massage from masseuse Roisin. Will definitely be coming back ASAP.

Room Tip: Try to get your own cottage.

It is a regular favorite The rooms are spacious and characterful, some may say a little dated but that is the history. The dining room is amazing and the service and food very good, not out there good, but what you would expect in a classical way. We keep going back so I can not recommend it enough.

Stole a cheeky weekend spa break here with the missus and we absolutely loved the place. It's decor and atmosphere with historic artefacts from the estate former owners and open log fires transport you back to a tranquil by gone era. The grounds and setting are stunning, service and staff are superb and attentive, the dress code is quite formal and the spa treatments and facilities offer much needed rejuvenation for the hard working weekend offer hunter. The gym and pool could benefit from a bit of investment but otherwise this is a must visit for a country retreat, or formal function such as a wedding. We didn't eat in the restaurant, however breakfast was top notch.

Absolutely loved this place. They are blessed with really lovely staff. Lots of the people we spoke to have worked for the hotel for their whole working life! They were true professionals. Waitress in restaurant was really helpful with dinner selection. The dinner and extensive wine list was all top notch, breakfast was delicious too. The spa was good, I had two treatments and we used the pool. Pool was 50 metres so much bigger than normal spas. The grounds are spectacular, loved exploring them and the woodland and views of Conwy castle beyond. The sunset from the restaurant was beautiful. It was expensive but such a nice treat - it was money well spent as it is truly unique - all faultless, all 10* plus

Stayed a couples of nights a very secret retreat, the gardens are wonderful and peaceful wild garlic filled the air in the woodland walk.
The hotel is comfortable with lots of quiet rooms to read in and be peaceful so rare these days.
Staff are good engaging and helpful.
If you want to use the Spa pool is a good size and all very clean there is no charge to use them is your staying with the hotel.

Standing in over 200 acres of its own parkland to the south of Llandudno with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. Believed to have 13th century origins, Bodysgallen Hall provides all that is best in country house hospitality. Beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with a cascade, a walled rose garden, and several follies. Historic House Hotels Ltd bought and rescued the house from a dilapidated state in 1981 and restored the 17th century house and gardens. In September 2008 Historic House Hotels Ltd and its interest in all its properties were given to the National Trust to ensure their long-term protection, with all profits benefiting the houses and the charity. The 15 extremely comfortable bedrooms in the Main Hall offer several different room types, including the four elegant principal suites. Each bedroom is individually decorated and furnished with antique furniture, paintings and prints, enjoying glorious views of Bodysgallen's parkland or gardens, with some rooms having further reaching views of Conwy Castle or the distant Mountains of Snowdonia. There are 16 cottage suites with picturesque names like The Smithy, Box Cottage and Pineapple Lodge, are situated in the grounds, and provide accommodation for guests preferring a greater degree of privacy. Many cottages enjoy their own private gardens and some are in close proximity to the Bodysgallen Spa. All are charming and delightful. The Dining Room in the main hall has been awarded three rosettes for fine dining by the AA - the only restaurant in Llandudno to be awarded such - and offers imaginative meals prepared from fresh local produce and complemented by fine wine, and overlooks the gardens and has been recognised as one of the best places for Sunday Lunch in the United Kingdom by The Observer newspaper. The Spa is approached by a short walk through the garden or by a private road. Converted from an original stone built farm it contains a magnificent 50' swimming pool edged with comfortable reclining chairs, whirlpool spa bath, steam room and sauna.
