We booked Bodysgallen Hall for two nights for our wedding - a very intimate affair, just us and two witnesses, one of whom was Ann-Louise who works in the hotel. We asked for a quiet cottage and were given The Bailiffs House which is a delightful suite with a comfy sitting room and small kitchen downstairs and large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There was a private garden outside with deckchairs provided, weather permitting! WiFi in our suite was very good. We held the marriage ceremony in The Library, a lovely small room on the ground floor. Continental breakfast was good, although you can pay extra for a cooked meal, and the coffee was excellent. My wife (!) has coeliac disease and must have a gluten free meal, which was no problem at all either at breakfast or in the evening. We had 'congratulations' on our dessert plates which was a nice, personal touch and complimentary glasses of champagne. You also have great views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle from the restaurant.
The hotel has wonderful gardens with plenty of 'rooms' which were perfect for our wedding photography. Our photographer (Gill Jones from Anglesey) was very enthusiastic about the venue. The hotel has a spa which we went to look at, but didn't utilise. It looked very good with a decent sized pool. Overall, I would say that the service in this hotel is really excellent with warm, welcoming, friendly staff. We are very pleased that we booked our special day at Bodysgallen Hall. I suppose we'll have to return for our anniversary!

Our family has visited Bodysgallen many times over the last 20 years because as soon as you drive through the gates you begin to relax....

you know you will feel comfortable, receive a genuine welcome from experienced, attentive staff and enjoy good food.

Our recent stay was no different, and the fact that the gardens around the Hall were a magnificent sight made our stay even more enjoyable.

We try many other places but few have the charm of Bodysgallen

Room Tip: cottage suites are more private

We spent a week here in one of estate cottages with our dog and the venue and facilities are first class. The Management and staff are very professional and helpful, and one minor hiccup was quickly, and appropriately handled.
At the time we stayed (outside of school holidays) we were, by far, the youngest clients making for a very quiet restaurant environment.

Lovely hotel and spa. Spa is in a different building and down a small hill. Afternoon tea is a pleasure. Food is wonderful. This country manor was rescued and turned into a hotel. There is an elegance about the place and the staff is excellent. Very comfortable and inviting. My stay here was relaxing and very pleasant. It is a 300 year old building but the only thing I found odd was the door knobs were quite low. The indoor pool is a real plus. I had a delightful stay here.

Stayed at the'superior cottage' for one night. Nothing superior about it. Don't know why it was so expensive. Nothing special just a basic room and living area with small kitchen and dated bathroom. Furniture, mainly sofa, was tatty and worn. Needs updating if they are charging so much. I've stayed at nicer travelodges! I always thought you got what you payed for but this us not the case at bodysgallen. Price was for room only which was also a rip off. There are other, nicer hotels that offer better value for money in the area. The most disappointing was the spa which was again overpriced. Treatments were the poorest I've ever had. The spa at deganwy quay hotel is much nicer. I had a manicure- my 5 yr old could have done a better job. The facial was nothing to write gone about either. Such a waste of money. I would not recommend and will avoid in future. Had the worst night's sleep since the room was not a double room as advertised but a twin room with 2 singles pushed together. I will need another weekend away to get over this one.
