We visited to sample the afternoon tea - booking is essential. The staff were friendly and the surroundings lovely. We sat in the drawing room upstairs, and were given a choice of teas, loose leaf, which was served in a silver pot with separate hot water. The food was served on a tiered cake stand, and consisted of a choice of finger sandwiches, delicious home cooked scones with clotted cream and jam, bara brith, and a selection of cakes. All were delicious, and when we flagged a little, the waiter brought us another pot of tea. We spent two hours at the hall, and thought that it was well worth the money, We will return.

A lovely country house and estate managed by the National Trust. We stayed in one of the well appointed cottages in the amazing grounds. Indoor pool is superb, food is very good but a bit pricey. A great place of a relaxing break.

Have just come home after spending 2 nights at this wonderful hotel. We try to go every year and it always leaves us wanting to stay longer. Staff are friendly and helpful and food is amazing.
Thank you to every-one at Bodysgallen for making us feel so welcome.

Old world charm abounds in this delightful hotel, the staff were both respectful and friendly. For a while I thought I was back in the Officers Mess! On a warm Spring day, the well maintained gardens were a joy to walk through - the hotel enjoys a superb location.
The 'standard' room overlooking the front of the hotel did not have the best view and I would be tempted to opt for a room overlooking the gardens with potentially a view of Conwy castle in the distance.

Room Tip: Go for a room overlooking the gardens.

Our conference group returned to Bodysgallen for a second time for our annual conference and once again, we were not disappointed. The conference room is located just opposite the main hotel as a self-contained room where we are not disturbed but all the conference facilities are there for us. All our meals were taken in a private room off the main restaurant and as before, the service and quality of food was excellent. The standard of accomodation is very high - all the rooms have their own individual touches and internet access was no problem in the hotel at all.

The management and staff at this hotel look after you very well and it genuinely feels like a home from home - nothing is ever too much trouble.

If you are looking for a cold corporate style hotel where you feel just like any other customer, this place isn't for you. However, if you are looking for something a little different, traditional, exclusive and where you are made to feel like a very special guest, then this could be an ideal venue for your smaller conference group too. We've already booked again for next year....

Room Tip: There are rooms in the main hotel and also cottages around the site with parking right outside your...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Standing in over 200 acres of its own parkland to the south of Llandudno with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. Believed to have 13th century origins, Bodysgallen Hall provides all that is best in country house hospitality. Beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with a cascade, a walled rose garden, and several follies. Historic House Hotels Ltd bought and rescued the house from a dilapidated state in 1981 and restored the 17th century house and gardens. In September 2008 Historic House Hotels Ltd and its interest in all its properties were given to the National Trust to ensure their long-term protection, with all profits benefiting the houses and the charity. The 15 extremely comfortable bedrooms in the Main Hall offer several different room types, including the four elegant principal suites. Each bedroom is individually decorated and furnished with antique furniture, paintings and prints, enjoying glorious views of Bodysgallen's parkland or gardens, with some rooms having further reaching views of Conwy Castle or the distant Mountains of Snowdonia. There are 16 cottage suites with picturesque names like The Smithy, Box Cottage and Pineapple Lodge, are situated in the grounds, and provide accommodation for guests preferring a greater degree of privacy. Many cottages enjoy their own private gardens and some are in close proximity to the Bodysgallen Spa. All are charming and delightful. The Dining Room in the main hall has been awarded three rosettes for fine dining by the AA - the only restaurant in Llandudno to be awarded such - and offers imaginative meals prepared from fresh local produce and complemented by fine wine, and overlooks the gardens and has been recognised as one of the best places for Sunday Lunch in the United Kingdom by The Observer newspaper. The Spa is approached by a short walk through the garden or by a private road. Converted from an original stone built farm it contains a magnificent 50' swimming pool edged with comfortable reclining chairs, whirlpool spa bath, steam room and sauna. A superb gymnasium has all the latest technologically advanced equipment, suitable for all ranges of fitness. A comfortable Club Room is a place where guests and members can relax and enjoy drinks and light meals, which in the summer are also served on the terrace. Residential guests have full use of the Bodysgallen Spa.Bodysgallen Hall is situated about 2 miles south from Llandudno and the North Wales coast. It is surrounded by over 200 acres of beautiful gardens and wooded parkland. Bodysgallen Hall has magnificent views of Snowdonia, and Conwy Castle.
