We stayed at Ocklynge Manor B&B for a couple of nights mid-December to do a bit of walking and could have easily stayed longer. The house is absolutely lovely - very warm, welcoming, and peaceful. Wendy and David are great hosts - friendly and helpful.

If you want a break from London but don't want to travel far, this is the place for you.

Beautiful house with sizeable gardens. We were welcomed with lemon cake and tea, and Wendy was even kind enough to drop us off in town for dinner. (We ate at a lovely Italian restaurant and got 10% off of our bill for being Ocklynge Manor customers). The bed was warm and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our breakfasts (including home-made bread and jam, alongside a full spread) the next morning. We came for a one night stay and regretted having to leave so soon. Definitely one of the top B&Bs we've ever stayed at.

Our weekend holiday at Ocklynge Manor was so perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Wendy and David made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, and provided so many helpful tips to make our trip more enjoyable (including an excellent Italian restaurant recommendation). The gardens are exquisite and we spent many hours walking around after breakfast and before dinner. The location is great for exploring the area, perfect for Beachy Head as well as Glyndebourne. We will most definitely be back and we will send all of our friends!

Unexpected visit to Eastbourne to visit a relative in hospital - picked Ocklynge out of Tripadvisor and luckily a room was available. From first contact, Wendy and David could not have been more helpful - and the beautiful gardens, great breakfasts and local advice made the whole experience really enjoyable. A little gem of a place and a real find, fully deserving its rating.

We spent great holidays with staying at Ocklynge Manor for two weeks. Every time when we went back from visiting a place of interest it was like coming home and we think this is really an art of hospitality which both, Wendy and David “celebrate”. Breakfasts are superb, the home-baked bread, cakes and jams are delicious; the walled garden invites you to sit down. We will come again that's for sure.
