“A Disappointment”

We have booked with this agent before and after previous bookings this was a disappointment. The agent forgot we were arriving and had to be called to gain entry to the apartment. The communal areas were very scruffy and grimy and the apartment had not been heated for some time and took more than two days to warm up due to the draughty windows. The floors were very grubby with many little stains in the lounge and had not seen a vacuum in a long time. The cooker hob was just as the previous occupier had left it, covered in grease splatters. The toilet seat was also dirty. I dread to think how long it has been since the windows were cleaned. A cleaner was sent to clean the place up but we did lose time as we did not wish to wait in such a dirty place. No proper apology was received

I am mortified to hear your thoughts after your several consecutive bookings with us - you have previously told us that you have remained loyal due to the consistently spotless interiors and quality of our properties and if we have failed to hit our previous highs I sincerely apologise.
Our excellent reputation at Exclusively Eastbourne is built upon impeccable customer service, so to arrive 10 minutes late for your arrival was a disappointment to us as well as you.
We pride ourselves on maintaining immaculate cleaning standards (as our previous reviews for this property highlight) so immediately returned to the apartment after your call to establish if anything was amiss and to rectify any problems.
The flooring in the lounge is exposed high quality sound-proofing material rather than carpeting - the contemporary design fitting in well with the newly refurbished interior. However, it can appear discoloured and for this reason we have discussed changes with the owner and it will have new carpet overlaid upon it this month.
We have recently taken on a new cleaner for the apartment (we find that having a single person responsible for a property ensures a consistently good finish) and she had not buffed the kitchen worktop to a level that we demand so she finished it off appropriately after we reviewed requirements.
I have to say that whilst the Hoover provided in the apartment and used by the cleaner isn't mind-blowingly powerful it is perfectly serviceable and the floors and carpets will always be clean for guests (obviously prior to any arrival). Similarly, the sash windows are regularly cleaned inside. Since you were with us in the winter the outside can take a battering from the elements so it won't always be free of marks.
The communal areas of the building are beyond our control, although we keep an eye on things. The other (permanent) residents are very quiet, and are happy with the more traditional finish of the period building rather than demanding the contemporary style of the holiday apartment
The central heating is completely controlled by individual guests to ensure that the temperature is spot on for their needs. Previous guests may have turned the thermostat down, but you can simply turn up the heat to a maximum of 30 degrees as outlined in the welcome pack provided for a really toasty feel. Being a fairly compact apartment it does warm up completely in about half an hour so I'm sorry if you missed the information. We would have talked you through the issue had you ever asked and, indeed, would have turned up the dial when I came to visit.
Sorry again if your experience tainted your trip to Eastbourne and I hope we see you again next year.

we rented this holiday flat through carl and sara stanger with whom we had dealt before so we were confident that what they told us about the property was true. We were not disappointed. Sara was there when we arrived to give us the keys and show us around. we were delighted to find everywhere spotless which was very important to us. Beds and bedding were comfortable and the place very bright and airy. There was even enough armchair seating for everyone without any squabbles! The location is great too. Five minute walk to sea front and about the same to train station and shopping centre. We would surely recommend this beautiful flat to anyone and would stay there again.

“Faultless accomodation”

We stayed at this property in early April and booked it based on a review by an earlier occupier. The photos on Tripadviser were an accurate indication of the flat which had apparently only recently become available. We were made to feel very welcome by the agents acting on behalf of the owners.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the flat was truly spotless with most if not all the kitchen equipment and furniture almost new.
As far as location is concerned, you could not really be better positioned. The railway station , seafront and large shopping center are literally a few minutes walk away. We took our car but in reality, it was not necessary for us. Parking could be an issue in the peak holiday periods as with all coastal resorts, but you can buy daily parking permits for £1 a day from the agents.
Cannot really think of anything negative to say about our own experience here and would certainly stay here again if we decide to revisit.

“Beautiful apartment in a great location”

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Eastbourne thanks to this lovely apartment!!
The apartment is a newly refurbished purpose built Victorian Flat finished to a very high standard. Everything is practically brand new!
It has one spacious living room with open plan kitchen and a dining table big enough for 4 adults. There is a smart TV, a DVD player that offer plenty of entertainment if you'd rather stay in for the evenings... We particularly loved the big sash windows that make the room incredibly bright and airy.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with lots of storage spaces. There's also a small bedroom with bunk beds I'd imagine would be perfect for families with young children. The bathroom again is spotlessly clean and beautifully arranged. There's even a small washing machine...
Location wise, this apartment is also hard to fault. Located in a quiet residential road yet the beach and the town centre are just a stone throw away. Although the flat doesn't come with any designated parking spaces, there are plenty of free parking spaces within 2 mins walk on the Blackwater Road.
Overall, my wife and I are really happy with our stay at this wonderful apartment. We cannot recommend enough for others to try it!

It's has only just become available but I'm convinced that it will prove very popular for all the reasons you enjoyed it.
The location really is perfect, close to the town centre, beach and all the attractions, with easy parking available.
The owner really has been very thoughtful with the high quality furnishings, which bring the period features, such as the high ceilings and huge sash windows, to life.
