My girlfriend and I stayed in an Airbnb near the Tapestry Restaurant for a week in March 2018 and happened to stop in on our first day in Barbados. I'm so glad we did because we ended up coming back every day for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. They do great French-press coffees, great eggs at breakfast, amazing burgers and do nice smart dinners too. We had 5-6 meals there in total and everything we tried was delicious. Not a bad word to say. The restaurant is within a hotel called Treasure Beach, which is newly renovated and looks beautiful. All staff we encountered made us feel very welcome – special thanks to Jermaine for being extra kind. Hope to be back here soon!

We visited Tapestry for the Wednesday night buffet. Really good choice of well prepared and tasty food with local choices. Service was excellent and the steel band exceptional. Thank you, we will return!

We experienced Tapestry twice while on vacation in Barbados! We went on our first night of vacation and it was so wonderful we decided we needed to come back. On Wednesday we experienced the BBQ buffet which was nothing but spectacular. “BBQ” and “buffet” both sound a little low brow, but this was a fine dining buffet experience. They had a beautiful appetizer display of salads, fresh fruit, cheese and small composed bites (beef Crostini, carrot panna cotta) Nothing excessive- the display was large enough to feel we had a lot of choices, but they have smaller portions out at one time so they can keep everything fresh and looking beautiful. (No large vessels of food that you wonder how long they have been sitting out) The staff was extremely attentive and they kept everything looking ample.

Then there was a wonderful spread of hot items to accompany the main course. A few standouts were the curry roasted vegetables, rice with peppers and onions, cheesy bread fruits and potatoes.

The main course grilling experience was spectacular. You walk over to the chef at the grill and select your meat to be cooked to order. We tried everything and each bite was better than the last. Jumbo prawns, salmon, skirt steak, ribs and chicken. Don’t skip the chicken because of the more decadent options- it was cooked perfectly and the flavors were excellent.

And then the dessert display was a perfect finish. There were 5 different choice, all small enough that you didn’t feel too guilty trying them all. Wonderfully balanced flavors- nothing was too sweet so all the flavors shined through. I don’t normally finish dessert but It was so good that I ate everything.

We loved everything so much that we decided to return on Saturday for the regular menu. It was a top notch fine dining experience. There were 4 appetizers and 4 entree choices which was a good thing because they all sounded so amazing and it was hard to decide which ones to pick (so I would have been overwhelmed with more choices). I am a fan of interesting flavor combinations and presentations which is definitely the focus of the menu. However they are extremely accommodating and offer a simple more basic menu (Cesar salad, grilled chicken, steak and potato, etc) for the picky eater in your group. Our entire party of 6 ordered off the regular menu but it’s really nice that they have this option so you don’t have to worry if you have a more basic eater in your party.

The star of the appetizers was the chicken, corn and sesame soup. It was so delicious! I would go back just for a bowl of that.

I can’t say there was one particular standout of the entrees because all 4 were equally spectacular. I had the salmon and asked for it rare and it was cooked perfectly. The grains and potato aspects of the dish were a wonderful accompaniment. It was somehow both light and rich at the same time which is exactly what I want in a tropical fine dining setting. The fresh pasta (pappardelle) was perfectly simple, letting the delicate flavor or the noodle shine through. The Mix of kale, cashews and tomato were fantastic. It was a phenomenal dish. The pork and chicken dishes were exceptional as well. The rest of my party eat less than I do, so I had the pleasure of finishing everyone’s plates and it was all fantastic.

Dessert was a top notch finish. Our favorites were the Apricot and white chocolate Bread Pudding with coconut ice cream and the chocolate tart. Very well balanced flavors! Again, we finished every bite of all of the desserts. Perfect portions.

I really can’t say enough positive things about Tapestry. Food, setting, ambiance, and service were all wonderful. It was great for a family dinner but would be equally wonderful for an intimate date or any special occasion. The Treasure Beach Hotel is incredible and makes the perfect setting for a spectacular dining experience. A beautiful balance of intimate and extravagant.

Above all Khadijah (KD) the operations and marketing manager, made our experience truly exceptional with her level of attentiveness. If you are looking for the perfect dining experience in Barbados, she will make it happen!

Wonderful everything. If we return to Barbados this is the first place we will
Come back to!

We have avoided eating in at TB for many years - but not any more!! The new Tapestry Restaurant is beautifully crafted with excellent outside as well as covered space. The welcoming bar area looks down to the sea - a great space to enjoy a drink before dinner. The Tapestry team is knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive - and the newly created menu caters for all tastes to the highest quality. whether its Bajan local fare or Modern European dishes the new kitchen team offers mouth-watering options - Javon Cummins is a young and inventive chef who has brought TB up to the level of many of the better known venues on the west coast.

We chose tapestry for Valentine’s night because of the menu posted on the website. We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady in white and then were taken to our table where we were given fresh roses. All the staff was very attentive and always checking to see if we were ok. Live entertainment was provided and the ambiance was great. Food was on point with Chef Javon’s special gala menu and it couldn’t have been better. From appetizer to dessert was truly a five star gourmet experience We will be definitely back. Thank you all for being attentive and for making our valentines dinner one to remember!
