This place is amazing!
Me and my girlfriend came here after grabbing an ouffer.com coupon and, after setting high expectations, were absolutely blown away by the beauty and serenity of this place! The staff are fantastic and are always saying hello and making sure you're enjoying your stay. The facilities are top-notch too, with free squash, kayaking, mountain biking and cocktail happy hour at the pool bar!
The only gripe i had was that we couldnt open up our room because of the mosquitoes, but that's such a minor gripe! :)
Because of the location, you can tend to feel a bit isolated from the rest of the island, but Mai Samui offers a 3-times-daily FREE shuttle service to the main beach and shopping district.
We stayed for 7 nights and feel it was probably a little too long. I would suggest that 5 nights is more than enough.

Room tip: Villas would seem like they are not worth the upgrade cost.

Just back from a fantastic holiday in koh samui staying at the mai samui spa resort. I cannot recommen this place highly enough. It is beautifully presented and the rooms are impeccably clean. The surroundings are tranquil and relaxing and the service is first class. Alpine and Angelie the guest receptionists are outstanding. They try to accommodate all guests and are always welcoming, friendly, approachable & willing to give excellent and informative advice. The pool is superbly clean, the breakfast buffett covers everything from individually made omlettes, waffles and eggs, to fresh fruit, cereal, pacakes and yes, even chocolate croissants wow! The three restaurants all provide excellent assortments of dishes and are very reeasonably priced. If you are looking for an affodable holiday that you can have in style then i would absolutely recommend this resort. Going back next year if i have my way! If you can get a scoopon deal then its even more worthwhile. Kap kun kah mai samui resort x Catherine Tuite

Room tip: Wwe had a deluxe poolside room and it was magnificent. The back door opens out onto the beautiful pool and the hotel is relatively quiet.

Mai samui was far the best resort we have ever seen. Having purchased a scoopon we were very wary arriving into Koh Samui and thought to ourselves that if it's that bad we will stay 2 nights then bail somewhere else for the next 3 days.

Even though we were in the cheapest room available it was still beautiful. Massive bed (was rock hard-that's a positive or negative depending on what you like), bathroom had huge granite spa bath and the balcony looked over the second pool.

The staff were super attentive always helpful when needed and every single staff member said hi each time you past them. The Buffet was good for a Buffet! Omelette with cheese and chili is a must!

The only negative I feel of this place is the location being its 35-40mins from Chaweng but in saying that the trip goes fast as there is much to see or places to visit on the way and every other positive of this place makes this point dismal.

There are two pools, one on the beach with cocktail bar and lounge chairs, they host a theme dinner every night incase you just want to stay in! The other in the back section where we stayed, it was still good!

Take note, detail in the landscaping is amazing but if you struggle on stairs then maybe not a great place, there are alternative routes to get around though!

Overall, highly recommend!!
Enjoy!

If your looking for a relaxed heavenly getaway this is the place to go!! The pools are built around the resort leading onto the beautiful beach. Swim up bars and villa rooms with their own separate spa/swimming pool. Large range of buffet breakfast & options for in room service buffet dinner/BBQ on the beach fine dining or pub menus. Western & thai italian meals on offer. The service here is credible. Staff are beautiful friendly warm and helpful! A shuttle goes few times a day into main beach if you desire shopping etc. they also have water activities/ yoga and trip up to waterfall on Sundays complimentary. The resort design and rooms are so beautiful! This place is incredible & I never want too leave!! Will definitely be back & recommend this place to anyone that wishes to relax & escape this is the place to stay!

My partner and I had 7 days at Mai Samui. The accommodation was excellent. The cooking class was superb and lots of fun particularly being taken shopping in the local markets. The pools and bars were beautiful and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The waterfall tour is a must with its visit to the white monk's the temple. The package we had included breakfast buffet each day which was very good. The location is perfect if you want to be far from the madding crowd as we did. The spa treatments were exceptional. The local area provides some great little restaurants. We particularly enjoyed eating at Piak's bar at the very end of the dirt road. We would most definitely stay again if returning to Koh Samui.

Room tip: Ask for an top floor closest to the beach
