The food at Spisekroken is simply amazing. I had the scallops for starter and the duck for main, and they were bursting with flavour. My partner had the seafood soup starter and the veal for main and he was also very happy. The staff were friendly and very attentive also. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful, inviting environment and equally amazing food. The menu is small but has a wide variety of unique flavors. Favorites included the crab soup and fish of the day. Most ingredients are sourced locally. Friendly service. Reasonably priced for the quality in an expensive city, but not a cheap meal by any means.

My wife and I booked an early dinner at this very small, quiet restaurant. Reservations would appear to be essential, as the restaurant is quite small, but you can do that on their website which is very user friendly. We both ordered the same thing - scallops for starters and the veal as a main course. Both dishes were simply outstanding - perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and a lovely blending of favours - the best meal we have had in Norway (and that's saying something considering we had 2 nights at Rosheim). Service was also very good. A definite must if you are looking for a great meal in Bergen
