Our room was fine but being on the 7th floor we had to carry our cases up the last flight of stairs as lift only went to sixth floor. Usual good standard of service and great breakfast. The staff were helpful getting us a taxi when we had to get from car rental firm to hotel.

Room Tip: Don't get 7th floor room if you need to use lift

This hotel is a good deal and a good place to sleep. It is in a very central location and has many good restaurants in the square next to it. The lobby is small and so was our room, but the view from our room was fantastic. The breakfast was good. Trondheim is a lovely city and this is a good place to stay without spending too much. The major luxury of the hotel is the free laundry room!

Room Tip: The top floor requires stairs to access, but has amazing views.

Got a great deal on this hotel-and really enjoyed our stay here.

Pros:
- room is small, but not tiny
- everything felt very clean
- bathroom is more than adequate
- blackout curtains actually worked (a bonus for June!)
- free excellent wifi coverage
- buffet hot and cold breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've experienced; and you could pack a lunch from it if you wanted
- super centrally located with lots of restaurants, tourist attractions and shops within a 10 min radius
- coffee was good; and also had a free coffee/tea machine available all day

Cons:
- parking is non-existent and a bit of a nightmare (which they warned us of ahead of time); luckily we were here on the weekend so was able to take advantage of free street parking, but had to walk a bit
- the Friday and Saturday noise from the local square was super loud, combined with open window for air-made for a terrible night of no sleep
- no air conditioning; and the window barely opens, so very little airflow which made it stuffy in the room
- no fridge in room

All in all-we really enjoyed this hotel and what it offered.

Super nice hotel! The hotel is located very nice in the heart of the city center. The hotel room was very clean and stylish, the people are friendly and the breakfast is very extended and absolutely yummy.

I stayed three nights at this hotel, during a week in Norway. Very good location in the city center, but at the same time silent in the rooms at fourth floor. The sleeping quality was thus very good, together with a comfortable bed. There is a possibility to put the luggage on a rack above the floor in the room. This is a good measure to prevent undesirable ‘bugs’ to follow to you back at home. The breakfast was also good and with variation. One finds free coffee in a machine next to the reception. One can also store the big luggage behind a closed door, which only the staff can open. For being a Thon budget hotel, I think it is a step better than Thon Gildevangen, where I also have stayed in Trondheim.
