Beautiful view of Landegode and Bodø.
Nice trail, Wear mountain boots. A bit crowded at times. In The summer, IT is possible to see The midnight sun, in winter Aurora borealis.

We got the No 3 bus from the Cruise port heading to Stordalen getting off at Langasen (There is a general store opposite the bus stop when you arrive if you need water or anything). It is about 20 stops or so but only cost 160 Krona which is about £15 each way for the two of us. Making just £30 for there and back.
We then followed an easy track up which took us to the viewpoint at Mount Ronvik.
We were afforded some great view on the way up but from the top it was really rewarding. We even saw a white tailed Eagle whilst walking up.
On the way down we took a diversion and did a lap around the small lake which was also really enjoyable although a little more difficult in places, finally returning to the bus stop to return to the ship.
All in all was a great few hours with some fantastic views and scenary.

I would recommend this to anyone who has an average level of fitness.

The hike to Mount Ronvik is relatively straight forward and on wide tracks which are gravelled, I would not count it as difficult though it is uphill.

The hike down the side path to the lake and around it was generally a little more testing and I would recommend at least suitable walking shoes.

All in all a great day out.

Today we walked from our airbnb to the top of the mountain called Keiservarden. The walk took us about one hour up and 30 minutes back. It was a cold and very windy day, but the sun was also shining, so the view at the top was stunning! Allthough the amount of wind made it a bit scary at the top, the view made it all right! Really recommended!

Very nice and short hike a few minute from Bodø center. It does not demand a great effort and is ideal for a first warm-up.

Totally stunning views from the top of the mountain. The point of 366 meters above sea level is called Keiservarden and is a rather easy and nice hike close to Bodo. Travel to Turisthytten and walk from there. THe path is 2,3 km of which the fist km is a really easy path, wide and smooth. The last 1,3 km is still an easy walk but know it goes up hill with uneven stone stairs mixed with mountain paths and stony parts. Lots of people run up to the top and most people wear running shoes but I recommend a light walking shoe for the hike and some warm clothes for the top once you reach it. You'll want to stay and it can be quite windy up here. The view will show you Saltstraumen, Kjerringoy, Bodo city and if you go in the summer on a sunny day - an amazing midnight sun. Highly recommended!
