Upon arrival, after demanding upfront cash, the Owner began to tell me she "found a better client than me" becuz they stay longer, and that I had to go to an apartment she rents out when her place is full. It was late nite, I had to carry luggage 25 minutes, to a dodgy area, no street lamps, dirty apt., and she expected me to return for breakfast back the 25 minutes away, to change rooms yet again, for the next day ! It is clear she runs an illegal business as others have commented, she only is interested in money (cash only !), it is NOT a Pension, but rooms poorly equipped. She fakes trouble understanding english when she disagrees, and is only superficially "nice".
She can NOT be trusted unfortunately. Most visitors are Korean, which she seems to have better rapport with. I do NOT recommend this place ! I have used numerous Pensions and feel well experienced to provide this critique.

Room Tip: do yourself big favor and find another hotel...there are many in the immediate area to choose from.

This pension is the ideal compromise between price and proximity to the center of Vienna. You have to walk only 15 minutes to arrive at the center of the city, of 5 minutes by tram, with the station really close to the pension too.
The rooms are clean, there are 2 bathrooms for about 10 people, so it is quite reasonable. The landlady is really really nice, speaks many languages, provides you with a good breakfast in the morning, and can advise you on what to do in Vienna.
The only downside is that we booked a 2-persons rooms, hoping to have a double bed, and had 2 single beds. Besides that, we absolutely loved our stay in this pension.

Essentially a large apartment on the ground floor of a multi-story building it has several guest rooms together with shared facilities in the form of a shower-room, a bath-room and a living/dining room where guests can socialise and watch TV. This place is like a guest-house/hostel hybrid - I think 'pension' is certainly the best way to describe it really

It's a very clean and tidy take your shoes off at the door type of establishment, however the hospitable and multi-lingual South Korean couple that run the business seem to be fairly relaxed and laid-back. Since they live out they turn up in the am to make breakfast (very basic self-service fare) and to clean the apartment and again throughout the day to check-in guests. Rooms are on the small side but the accommodation is altogether quite cosy.

Located in Weiden, practically equidistant between two main railway stations (Simmering & Meidling), the centre of Vienna is easily reached by metro/tram or a 10-15 minute walk. On arrival I took a taxi from Meidling and the fare was about 10 euro. As you might reasonably expect the locality offers its fair share of bars/cafes/restaurants etc...The undercover street market is only a few blocks away and is fairly convenient for shopping and eating.

Overall I believe there is enough to commend the Pension Happymit to anybody looking for a roof over their head as it offers a good location at a reasonable price...If you are looking for a hotel then this probably isn't for you. If you are looking for a pension that ticks the boxes outlined above then this could be right up your 'strasse'...
