“A hidden gem in Vienna”
Reviewed 30 May 2012

Having stayed here on business twice, I can highly recommend the BW Kaiserhof Wien as a "special" hotel. It's charm lies in its renovated traditional deco, supported superbly by its efficient staff. The breakfast spread exceeds expectations for a medium sized property.

The rooms size is adequate and reasonably equipped. The centralised aircon/heating control could be improved.

Overall, a great find in Vienna.

Our family of 4 (including 2 daughters ages 19 & 23) had two rooms for 3 nights--we all absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend it to others, no question. It is elegantly decorated, well-located for seeing major sites and the staff was attentive and seemed truly sincere in their desire to assist--the perfect tone for a stay in Vienna. We had rooms 12 and 14, which were on the first floor and had no view, but these particular rooms each had 2 bathrooms. (I would NOT assume that all rooms have this feature, but it was a wonderful and unexpected luxury when traveling with daughters...) The hotel is updated but has a lot of charm--bathrooms were beautiful marble, the bedding was very high quality, the draperies silk, in short, we felt very pampered. The included breakfast was delicious and elegantly served--they had more special items (like waffles one day) to choose from than most hotels we visited on our trip. The neighborhood was very pleasant and we enjoyed walking to the nearby restaurants that were recommended by the desk --their recommendations were some of the best meals we had on our 2 week trip. We were very pleased with the Kaiserhof and would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms 12 and 14 which are on the first floor. There was no view (air shaft) but each r...

Dear all from Ohio ! :-)
Thank you very much for your feed-back - it is very important for us to improve our service.
Those rooms you stayed in are special rooms as you may have noticed - which also fit for allergic guests - as there are no flowers in the surrounding and no dust from the street-side.
We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay in Vienna and hope to welcome you backagain !
Should you need any assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

We were here for two nights and wish we could have booked for a week and enjoyed Vienna and this great hotel longer.
Customer service was outstanding - the staff seemed genuinely engaged.
They assisted us with mapping a walking tour, and also helped book a enjoyable Vivaldi + Bach concert (string quintet) at the jewel-box of a church, St. Anne (Annakirche).

Room was spacious and comfortable with a touch of "Vienna elegance." Breakfast was wonderful not only because of the wide assortment of hot and cold foods, but the quality of selections. And to top it off we enjoyed our Cappuccinos and fresh pastries on crisp white tablecloths and with crystal chandeliers overhead. Too bad we had to interrupt our leisurely morning to see the city!

The hotel is just a couple of short, walkable blocks from the "ring" and the fun pedestrian/shopping/sight-seeing areas in the center of Vienna. One of the U-stations is at the corner and took us to Schonbrunn Palace in 10 minutes. (Great underground train system in Vienna!). We were able to park our car in the public spaces in front of the hotel (5 E/day) --the hotel had a voucher for us to place in the dash.

I used United Airlines miles to book the hotel and thought it was an outstanding value (and strangely, the hotel was listed as full when trying to book through booking.com and Expedia).

Would most definitely want to return to Vienna and see everything we missed in the short two days and undoubtedly will choose this hotel.

A perfect hotel to get into the Austrian mood; revamped with style, some rooms a bit small, friendly staff.

What a fabulous hotel! The staff are extremely polite & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable, clean & extremely well appointed. The breakfasts are second to none, with everything you could wish for, including sparking wine.
The hotel is located in a quiet street just a minute or two from Karsplatz tram stop & metro station, & short walk from the Opera House & museum quarter.
Vienna is a beautiful city & the Best Western Premier Kaiserhof made it a perfect break for us.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
