Me and my parents were travelling through Austria and Innsbruck was one of our stays just for one night. We were able to check in early without any problem. The hotel was in a great location - a 10 minute walk along the river to the city center. The view was beautiful. Great choice of breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, our room was on the main road and was very very noisy which may be a problem if you are a light sleeper. We were very satisfied with our stay but would perhaps not visit again due to the noise and there was only paid Wi-Fi which was not reliable.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel not at the front on the main road.

Came to Innsbruck for a weekend in December. Wanted somewhere near the town, and this place is just 5-10 minute walk from the Christmas market (one of them, as we walked and found several more - even a very small one right opposite) Right next to the river with views of the mountains from one side of the hotel. Rooms perfectly fine, lovely and warm and clean, flat screen TV, plenty of space, nice bathroom (a bath would have been nice rather than a shower after a long day walking about but not many places these days have baths) but had lovely shampoo etc. Staff were very helpful as we arrived early before room was ready, and could leave our luggage down in their basement and went for a walk to the town and came back an hour later. Breakfast each morning was really good, plenty of choice and nice big dining room with great big windows and nice views. We got a taxi to and from the airport which was only Euro 12 each way, took about 10 minutes on the Sunday morning as there was hardly any traffic. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights when I visited the city for a conference. It is very close to downtown and the university is just 10 minutes away on foot. You can walk pleasantly to any of the sights in the city from here. It's so practical.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains, though I had a room facing the street (and it was on the first floor and no noise was there from the street!). The staff was very helpful; especially the ladies! :)

The room was warm enough.

The lining and the towels were very clean.

No problem with the bathroom.

The breakfast was rich enough for a business traveller. It was far better than any breakfast that I had in any 3- or 4-star hotel that I stayed at in Italy! The coffee was very tasty, too.

There was no smell in the building, which is generally the case in very old buildings.

Loved staying there and definitely would go there again.

Room tip: I had a quiet room, though facing the street. I didn't have a noise problem and it was on the 1st floor.

This is a 2.5 star budget hotel near the old townr. If you get a room towards the street, you will have major noise issues cuz you have to open your window (hotel has no airconditioning). When I requested for a quieter room, the lady at the reception (I presume she was the owner too) said 'I live here too'! You just cant sleep if you open the window as the street is noisy. The least the owners could do was give fans.

Positives:
1. Good location - a short walk to the old town.
2. decent breakfast. good service at breakfast. Freshly squeezed orange juice and hot chocolate served were delicious.
3. Very good free parking.

negatives:
1. Very noisy if you have streetside rooms.
2. No amenities in the room - bare bone
3. No minibar, mini safe
4. Bathroom very dated. needed a good scrub. looked grubby.
5. Slightly rude - businesslike owners.

If you are looking for a bare bone budget operation, go for it. Else avoidable.

Room tip: NEVER chose streetside rooms!

The location of this hotel is very good and the rooms are basic but sufficient for a short stay, however we were exceptionally disappointed during our stay.

Our room was on the front of the hotel and extremely warm, there was no way of cooling the room other than to open the window onto the busy main road which was exceptionally loud. We tried to acquire a fan but there was no one at the reception in the evening. That evening we barely had any sleep.

Perhaps the most disappointing was the reaction from the hotel owner in the morning. We expressed our concerns, however she was completely disinterested and said that it is usually too cold and that was her main concern, however they must encounter this problem every summer. When i informed her that we had not been able to have any sleep she said she too found it difficult! She told me that she was very busy and did not have time to address our issues and also raised her voice towards us on more than one occasion. The other staff in the hotel were very helpful and polite, it is a shame the hotel owner does not share these same high standards.
