I was on a business trip and had luck to get a great price offer for the Blaue Gans. This hotel is located in a narrow city centre and allowed me to efficiently use a couple of hours left from the working day to explore Salzburg and do some present shopping for friends and family. The room was quite spacious and clean. The staff was very professional and helpful giving me the right directions where to go in a short time I had. They also offered me a bicycle free of charge to move around faster. The only downside is that the normal price is quite high, so I am not sure if I will get a chance to come back. Still excellent experience.

We are a family of 5 and reserve the Cityflat suite. My brother's family of 5 had the Maisonette suite and it included a full kitchen (which we didn't use!) The suites were huge and we had more than enough room! The Maisonette is multi-leveled so not a good choice for someone that has problems with stairs. We were given walking maps when we arrived and the hotel arranged airport/train pickup for both directions. It was very convenient.

This hotel is literally in the middle of it all and we walked everywhere! The complementary breakfast not only had the traditional European treats (cheese and salami for breakfast) but had made-to-order eggs and omelettes. We were disappointed that the Wine Room was not available during our stay, but there were many great restaurants down the street.

The only negative was on our arrival day when we tried to eat on the outdoor patio. We were 10 people and although there was plenty of room, we were told that we could not be seated because our party was too big. As mentioned in previous reviews, the WiFi isn't very good.

It is hard to find a hotel for a family of 5. This was perfect and we had a fantastic stay. We would stay here again!

Room tip: CitySuite could have slept 6.

This hotel was the perfect location for our Salzburg trip. The breakfast selection was wonderful; the eggs were just so fresh. Since the old city of Salzburg is small, we didn't feel like we were far from any of the attractions. We also love the "blaue gans" we could take as a souvenir from the hotel; it's our new travel buddy. This location exceeded our expectations!

Located at the most Coveted Places in the City, This is the Hotel I would vouch for , given any time and day. Our Booking included Breakfast, which certainly wins hands down in terms of Quality and Variety of meats, cheese and bread . Extremely polite and helpful staff, a short walk to the Best of Brands in Clothing, Jewellery , Accessories and numerous options for authentic Bavarian cuisine .
The Hotel Room rates are pretty steep, but a couple of days' stay is highly recommended, if one could adjust in other ways.

Room tip: The Best View is from Room 101

This is the second time we've stayed at the hotel. We raved about it the first time and we were not disappointed this time around. The hotel is in the most fantastic location, in the heart of the main shopping area of the old town and a few mins walk from the main squares. This may make it sound like it could be noisy, however because of the windows and air conditioning, it is very quiet. The beds are superbly comfortable. The bathroom is excellent with a good, powerful shower, nice toiletries, and a blue duck (goose) that you can take home :-) Breakfast is a superb buffet with lots of choice, including eggs cooked to order. The last time we stayed there was still smoking allowed in the restaurant, but this has changed now and the whole place is non-smoking which is great. We feel so relaxed having visited again - thank you for another wonderful stay. We are looking forward to the next time already!
