Salzburg is just 3 hours by train from Vienna. As you come out of the railway station, to your right is the Taxi stand snd a ride to the hotel will take around 20 mins and 15 euros maximum. You have to take a tunnel to reach the hotel. The hotel is ten minutes walk from the old town and thus easily accessible by foot to Mirabell Garden, Shopping Street, Mozart House and Mozart Museum, University Church and Salt River. The reception is manned by energetic young people and each one of them were courteous and helpful. The hotel has a breakfast hall and the breakfast is priced at 14 euros. We stayed for 4 days and had the breakfast all days. The spread is good enough to keep your hunger at bay till late afternoon. The hotel doesn't have any provision for lunch or dinner. However, the small bar just beside the reception is open 24 hours and so you can enjoy your drink whenever you want. The salzburg pass is also available from the hotel. Near the hotel there are few restaurants. One is a Chinese restaurant - Canton. Very reasonably priced and with good portion. A little further to your left as you come out of the hotel is an Italian joint - Cavalli. Once again reasonably priced.
We stayed in a family room (413) and are very satisfied with the size of the room as well and the bathroom and bed sizes. Sufficient towels were provided and housekeeping is also very good. Tap water is safe to drink. The storage is also adequate. We had a good sleep and a good stay as well.
The travel desk of the hotel is also managed efficiently. You can book all your excursions and tours in and around Salzburg from the hotel itself and once again the charges are reasonable.
The location of the hotel is also safe and we walked back to the hotel as late as 10 pm from the old town through the tunnel without any discomfort.
The hotel was a good find for us and recommended to all tourists visiting Salzburg in all aspects. Thanks to the entire team for making our stay a pleasure.

We stayed in Salzburg for a day.
Its ideal when driving as you can park under the hotel.
Ensure to park in front first to get personnel to open the gate.
The entrance is very narrow in a busy street.
You do not find out you need to go to reception first untill you are at the gate.
The comms box is on the pessenger side and does not seem to work.
So reversing back to the front will be your mission in a busy street. Ergo 1.
Once parked you'll have to fill in a form as u did in the 90s of the last century.
Strange in this digital age when you give all details during the booking online. Ergo 2.
I had to pay extra for the breakfast and local tax even though my voucher said breakfast and local taxes were included.
Ergo 3.
The room is clean spacy and basic, very basic.
1 pillow each. As flat as a pancake.
Ergo 4.
Oh and dont burn your fingers when u switch the bed light off, scorching hot.
Ergo 5.
Bathroom room 506 is good apart from the spraying hose connection. Ergo 6.
Location is superb.
Breakfast was basic and fresh.

This hotel has good potential but is ran like was done in the 90s with enthousiastic personnel.
Although i was obviously unimpressed with having to pay extra and the way this was communicated.
I did show them my booking but there was no response but pay extra.
I suggest the manager to try the above himself once to see what guests encounter.
Having to pay extra and the thin pillow sorta pissed me off.
As a guest i should not have to go through the unnecessary hassle.
Room for improvement I'd say.

Dear Pat,
many thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Regarding your concerns about the breakfast, I can assert that it was not included in your reservation - I had a look by myself and unfortunately we had to charge it as you chose a room without breakfast. Anyways, all our guests can have a look at the breakfast buffet first and choose spontaneously in the morning whether having breakfast or not.
We offer our guests a garage, which is located directly under the hotel and a great advantage comparing to other hotels. To ensure safety for your car we do not let everyone inside, which is why a pre-registration at the reception is necessary. You find the sign next to the gate, so we are really sorry if you have not seen that.
Our reception is 24 hours open and the team is here to fulfill your concerns and wish - so next time please do not hesitate to ask our staff for more pillows - we have plenty of them! :)
We hope to welcome you soon again!
Kind regards, Sandra Krenmair & Team

Stayed for 3 nights. Friendly reception and friendly staff. Good breakfast at a decent price of 15 EUR pr person. Serviceminded reception. Clean and tidy room.To have coffee in your room you must ask for capsules in the reception which shouldn't be necessary.

We stayed here in a family room for three days with our two teenagers. The room was advertised as a family room, but it’s really just one room with two double beds. The hotel was affordable, clean, and comfortable enough for the stay. The real selling point is the location, with it being minutes and walking distance from everything you want to do in Salzburg. The hotel comes with a small mini fridge, free and Wi-Fi, and there’s an on-site parking garage for 16€ a day. Also, we found out at checkin that our 16 year old was considered an adult, so we had to pay an additional 10€ a night for him. The hotel has breakfast for an additional fee, but we just walked to the McDonalds instead. All in all, I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for affordable and great location.

Not horrible and not fantastic- advertised as 3 stars and they lived up to it. Quick walk through the tunnel to Old Town. Based on some reviews I was worried about homeless people in the tunnel but it was the same 2 guys everyday and they didn’t bother anyone. The lobby of the hotel is tiny and front desk staff were not very friendly. I was annoyed that they would not mail a post card for me even though I was paying for the stamp. First time this has ever happened to me in a foreign hotel. Amenities are low- no wash cloths or hand towels in the bathroom- only full size towels. Some shower gel/soap combo was installed in the shower and by the sink so you need to bring your own products. The room was a decent size for 3 people (family room- 2 double beds). We had to pay €20 for a 7 year old child even though it was the exact same room for 2 adults. Convenient to get to the train station- the #1 bus stops right in front of the hotel. Salzburg is so small that it really isn’t worth it to pay more for a better location but you might want to splurge on a few extra amenities.
