So beautiful!! This is where the iconic scene around the fountain was filmed in The Sound of Music. It was also where the Do-Re-Me song down the steps in The Sound of Music was filmed. Just a beautiful place to rest and relax.

Nice Gardens to wander round. S.O.M. Filmed there (Doe Rea Me)

Right, lets get on to the kids play area! The tallest slide I've ever seen in a kids play area. A great example of the Austrian approach to H&S. Fun. But just be careful.

Beautiful gardens perfectly manicured. Incredibly charming and quaint but with a few perks (look for the terrace with the gnome/miniature statues). There is also an ash-filled memorial for the victims of the Holocaust on the outskirt of Mirabell Palace. Not to be missed!

Chamber music presentations here are in the correct mode and well done. We were very happy with both the concert and the venue. Get there early and walk the gardens... great stuff.
