“Apres-Ski, Restaurant and discotheque - All in one”
Reviewed 2 February 2012

I've been in Obertauern now for the third season in a row and there's nothing comparable at one place. At noon you can have your lunch, from 3:30 - around 6:30 there's apres-ski at its best and after a short cleaning break in the whole house it starts over again at around 07:30 being a restaurant offering a variety of meals inclunding typical Austrian food as well as spare ribs, pizza or great steaks. After having enjoyed the dinner you can party until 2am with great people, an excellent choice of music and nice drinks. Enjoy!

“Very tasty”
Reviewed 30 January 2012

Food was great! Service a bit too quick perhaps...but very relaxed atmosphere! Loved the slide to the bathrooms too!

Reviewed 17 January 2012

How often can you go somewhere after skiing where all age groups and families can have a great time. We love Lurzer Alm we have 3 kids 9,6 and 4 who danced up a storm with all the couples, young ski bums we loved it

“My favourite place for the evening”
Reviewed 16 January 2012

The Lürzer Alm is fascinating! It transforms itself during the day in multiple styles and types - from skihut (skihütte) to restaurant to bar and disco. it accommodates all generations and has a fabulous alpine flair and ambience. it manages to feel cosy even though it is a huge place.
in the evening it offers a lovely menue with a broad spectrum of different food, eg pizza, scampi gröstl, steak, almpfandl, lovely soups, etc.
We also loved our Schnaps (birme or marille - but the better one, not the standard house schnapps (which is good too but not as good)) after dinner.

Après ski with Gluehwein, Punsch etc and dancing for the ones who have energy left after skiing.

For the dinner it is recommended to reserve a table - especially in the more busy season (high season) where you can choose a table at 7.00 or 8.30. 7.00 means you have to leave the table for the later bookings. A "quiet" dinner at 8.30 is for the same 1.5 hours, at 10.00 the disco starts and while you can keep your table and stay as long as you want, a table conversation might get tricky.

It is my favourite place for the evening and après ski (after leaving the last station on the the mountain the Mankei Alm).
