Self-catering facility was a 2-ring hob, plus kettle & toaster. Very poorly equipped, no kitchen knives, corkscrew, bottle-opener. Maid did not wash-up, even though it was only glasses & cups as I was unable to prepare food. Hard beds, even harder sofas, only 1 lumpy pillow per bed. Pool mucky, sun-beds dirty. Bars never seemed to be open. 6 euros per day for air-con was a rip-off

I know that you get what you pay for, but we have stayed much cheaper and got much better in the past.
We came to this hotel for a peaceful week after a hectic week in Paphos attending a friends wedding. Our first impressions were that this place is like something out of the 60's, and although we didn't see many other guests around the place, we got the feeling that you would have to be over 60 to appreciate it. To say that this hotel needs a total revamp is an understatement, it's old and grubby and all the trees and plants are all overgrown giving the whole place a dark and uncared for feel.
The lady on the reception desk was lovely and very welcoming on arrival and even gave us a welcome drink.
After three mornings waking up with bodies covered in "bites" that were not from mosquitoes, we decided to check out and return to Paphos.
we only saw two other couples at the hotel during our stay, even though we were told that they were full. The pool bar didn't look like it had been used all season and when returning to the hotel at 10.30pm we found it in complete darkness.
Not our cup of tea at all, but others may enjoy it.

Initially booking this holiday I thought we got a bargain, however remember that what you pay for is what you get, or more to the point what you do not get!
Our studio apartment consisted of a small kitchen. The only useful things in here were the glasses and kettle. The bread bin didn't close and the oven had no racks shelves etc. Needless to say the frozen pizza went in the bin.
We weren't bothered about the T.V but there are no english channels at all.
An average sized couch.
A good sized family table.
Twin beds which felt like you were sleeping on a cornflake box.
The bathroom was as you expect, a toilet, a sink and a bath that you cannot fill, it was pretending to be a bath! The shower was a connection to the bath tap and pretty poor, not to mention the fact that the water was only ever at its best luke warm.
The fridge was the star of the show as it kept drinks cool.
The balcony was a nice size and had a table and seating, however I don't know where the panoramic view of the ocean or mountains came from, but if you like views of other buildings you are onto a winner!
The towels were changed once in a week and the rooms in general were quite outdated and grimy.
The pool was good and there was plenty of sunloungers, that may have something to do with the fact we only seen half a dozen other guests in a week.
The bar/restaurant and pool/bar facilities were non-existent and did not open at all. Key tip don't pay extra for the breakfast, go to the supermarket and buy a box of cereal as you wouldn't be missing out on much.
We certainly were not made to feel part of the family by the staff either, I only ever saw two of them, until the day we wanted air conditioning, (that's right no air-con in 30 plus temperatures, and this is going to cost you another 6 Euros a day) when it took four people about an hour to switch it on. This consisted of them taking apart the electrics and then forgetting where the blue wire went, I'm telling you they gave Mr.Bean a run for his money.
Hotel is very close to the town centre.
Weather perfect, always hot and a very, very quiet place to relax and sunbathe. If you want anything else though stay in Paphos instead.
