Basic studio, OK - but don't look at the Paphos gardens hotel website and assume this is what you will get.
Town beach is not the best as there are a lot of rocks and when we went there loads of weed and litter. Better to get a weekly or daily bus pass and go to Coral Bay where the beach is outstanding. Small pool is lovely. we found the larger pool very crowded and loud music all day long. Perennial problem of sun beds being reserved overnight and then no-one on them for the day. If you want to see any of the organised entertainment do not rely on the notice board in the accommodation block, you need to check at reception as the times are moved forward and back. We went to watch the Irish dancing supposed to be at 21.15 and arrived in time for bingo (oh dear) and the dancing moved to 22.30. Then tried the African acrobats supposed to start as 22.00 and arrived to - you guessed it - bingo and they had been and gone at 21.00! Gave up after that.
Excellent places to eat within a very short walk - Les Amis and Michael's Taverna. Best supermarket is Papantonios in Paphos, just a very short walk from the bus station. Fantastic taverna - Mother's in Paphos, again a short walk from the bus station. Take care for total rip off prices at harbour - 4.5 euro for a glass of Fanta!!!
The location was ideal for walking distance to Paphos Harbour and Town, the beach was only 500m walk which had a beach cafe/bar showers and toilets.
The was a little on the small side for us as a family but we were aware of this on our booking. The room is only ideal for maximum 3 but comfortable 2 people.
There was times the night time corridors were noisy but nothing too bad
Very happy with our stay and would recommend to others affordable
