We only spent one night here. The room was quite basic, but it was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The host was very helpful. There is a smart restaurant next door that had a varied menu including a vegetarian menu.

Rooms are a bit basic but clean, and the sea views are excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Wifi is good. Free parking. Its very easy to see as you approach as its perched atop a hill, but closer to its surpringly ard to find in the back streets of the old town so pay attention to the directions!

Breakfast was buffet style but fresh, high quality stuff.

Highly recommend this place (as long as your not looking for a beachside location!)

Room tip: Go fpor a room with a sea view.

Located on the top of old Pafos with fine views to the lower town and the sea beyond, this friendly hotel is well-kept, with attention given to all the things that really count: clean and simple rooms, good air-con, free wi-fi, a good breakfast in a light and airy room with super views and helpful staff. Old town Pafos is within easy walking distance. Don't be put off by the extensive road works - they will eventually get completed!!

Room tip: Ask for a sea view

My husband said of the Axiothea: "This is exactly the type of place I love: Simple, clean and you immediately feel the Mediterranean atmosphere! " The hotel is simply, but beautifully decorated. You immediately feel welcome and know you have arrived to the Mediterranean.

The family who runs the hotel (which btw is in what was once their own house) are very friendly and helpful. Michael was very patient with our late arrival due to a delayed night flight.

The hotel sits up on the hill with views of Paphos. Breakfast was a big spread for European standards and the dining room is simply beautiful with a great view of the city and sea. There is a large parking lot next to the hotel.

Nearby are restaurants and pubs. We have stayed in Paphos before near the port where restaurants are very expensive, so we preferred this area much more. However, the beach is over a kilometer away.

Make sure you follow the directions the hotel gives and not relay on Google Maps. Due to construction in the area in can be a bit complicated
